Zhou Xun is feminine in the eyes of husband Archie Kao

Chinese-American actor Archie Kao and husband of Chinese actress-cum-singer Zhou Xun praised his wife for her  feminine vibes.

At the grand launch of fashion brand H&M’s first branch in Taiwan on the night of Feb 11, the couple made an appearance as models for the brand’s latest Chinese New Year collection and shared about their lives as newlyweds.

Last August, the public was shocked to learn of the flash marriage between the 40-year-old actress and the 45-year-old actor, as the former is largely based in China while the latter in America.

Though Zhou Xun is affectionately known by many as ‘Mr Zhou’ for her strong image and boyish vibes on the silver screen, Archie surprised Taiwanese media when he revealed her softer side off screen.

“People may feel that she is like a boy when they watch her shows but I have never felt so. To me, she exudes feminine vibes,” he chirped.

Adding on, Zhou Xun also commented that her biggest change after being married is learning how to cook for her husband.

The couple displayed their affection for each other at the event, showcasing their wedding rings and exchanging sweet nothings from time to time.

While the couple is collaborating for the first time by modelling for H&M, photos of the two seemingly co-starring in a new film had circulated online.

At the event, Zhou Xun said that they would not intentionally choose to star in the same movie. Her manager also stated that the photos were taken at another commercial shoot, not a film site.

Bigbang to return this April

A news report has revealed that Bigbang will end their long-time hiatus this April!

According to an exclusive report by Korean media Daily Sport, the first project from YG Entertainment in 2015 will be Bigbang’s.

“The first album in 2015 from YG Entertainment will be Bigbang's. We plan to release the album this April,” said YG Entertainment’s CEO Yang Hyunsuk.

“iKON and WINNER are also in the midst of producing their albums, but our first player this year is Bigbang. It might be burdensome but I listened to Bigbang’s new song yesterday. It is better than any of Bigbang’s previous songs. When I heard the song, my heart pounded. I felt really good listening to Bigbang’s music after a long time,” the CEO added.

He then commented about Bigbang who have been in the music industry for ten years, saying: “Having been around for for ten years, Bigbang’s skills and music ideas are the best. It’s gonna be the album that emits the light. I get the feeling of: ‘That’s why this is Bigbang, the oldest in YG’. Not only the title track, the side tracks are also good”.

It’s been almost three years since the group released their last album, ‘Still Alive’ on June 2012. That is why fans are looking forward to this upcoming album.

“This is the album that fans are looking forward to. Of course I also expect a lot. I am satisfied with the result. Bigbang are extremely good musicians, up to the point that I want to give my honor to them,” Yang Hyunsuk said.

Emile Hirsch charged with assault

Emile Hirsch has reportedly been charged with assault after he allegedly put a woman in a ''headlock'' at a party last month.

The 29-year-old actor could end up behind bars after he was accused of physically lashing out at female Hollywood executive Daniele Bernfeld during a bash held at the Tao nightclub in Park City, Utah, during the Sundance Film Festival on January 25.

According to TMZ.com, ''Hirsch appeared intoxicated and asked Daniele why she looked so tough and said she was a rich kid who should not be at Sundance.''

The Paramount boss reportedly told police she walked away from the star but just minutes later he'd come up behind her and choked her, before pulling her across the table and sitting on top of her.

Daniele said she felt as though ''the front and back of her throat were touching'' and she remembers things going dark, before two onlookers pulled the 'Lone Survivor' star away from her.

When the police arrived, Emile reportedly admitted he'd had three or four alcoholic beverages throughout the night as officers inspected the reported redness around Daniele's neck.

If found guilty of third degree felony aggravated assault, Emile could spend up to five years in prison for his crime.

He was also charged with misdemeanor intoxication and is scheduled to appear in court on March 16, 2015.

Zhang Ziyi denies reports of family discord

Chinese actress Zhang Ziyi and Chinese rock singer Wang Feng strongly denied false allegations of Ziyi’s family making a scene on her 36th birthday party, when she tearfully accepted Wang Feng’s romantic marriage proposal.

A netizen recently claimed that the actual situation of the marriage proposal was contrary to its glamorous appearance as Ziyi’s family started a family brawl over their unhappiness of the surprise proposal.

Ziyi’s family, said to be unaware of Wang Feng’s proposal plans, was enraged to know that the 36-year-old actress said ‘I do’. Not only was her family rumoured to have raised their voices at Wang Feng, they allegedly turned it into a physical fight by smashing wine bottles and glasses.

While expressing their displeasure, guests were reportedly injured by glass shards and Leehom Wang’s wife, Li Jinglei, was also rumoured to have suffered a cut at the corner of her eye.

The day after the event, a screenshot of a message allegedly written by Ziyi’s brother Zhang Zinan was also shared online like wild fire. He was said to have accused Wang Feng of being a promiscuous and selfish man and praised his wife for speaking up for Ziyi to protect his family’s pride.

However, netizens were skeptical of these allegations as Zinan’s wife shared an article on Ziyi’s acceptance of Wang Feng’s proposal a day after the event and attached a rose emoticon to express her blessings for the couple.

On Feb 9, she also wished Ziyi a happy birthday and attached a photo of Ziyi, seemingly being on good terms with her sister-in-law.

When approached by the media by phone, Wang Feng’s manager snapped that the allegations were false and quickly hung up.

Ziyi, on the other hand, left an angry message on her Weibo, “How long do you plan to smear me like this? Haven’t you gotten enough of it? You are not only hurting me when you do this!”

Shortly after, she also posted a handwritten letter by her parents that said, “They have undergone a tough journey since they began dating. As witnesses of their relationship, we give Ziyi our greatest blessings and we are proud to have a new outstanding member in our family.”

Tang Wei speculated to be pregnant for 5 months

Chinese actress Tang Wei is speculated to be five months pregnant after being revealed to have placed a booking for post-natal care services in Korea recently.

While the 35-year-old tied the knot with her Korean husband and film director Kim Tae-yong last August with a mysterious and low-profile wedding, she was constantly plagued with pregnancy rumours before and after marriage.

Not only did she raise eyebrows for turning down film offers, she was also speculated to be pregnant when spotted with a slight bulging belly last year.

Though fans were happy to learn about these rumours, Tang Wei repeatedly denied them.

However, netizens claimed that they spotted Tang Wei at a renowned post-natal care services centre in Gangnam a few days ago. She was said to have enquired about a booking for the centre’s services in July this year but left without making a booking.

Tang Wei’s spokesperson Anna spoke up against the pregnancy rumours. She clarified that Tang Wei had sought out medical services at a hospital in Seoul to treat her spine problems and emphasized that the venue was not a ‘post-natal care centre’.

Speaking about Tang Wei and Kim Tae-yong's plans on having children, Anna stated that the two would let nature take its course.

Bobbi Kristina Brown 'will be okay'

Bobbi Kristina Brown's aunt insists she is ''doing well right now.''

The 21-year-old aspiring actress, who was placed on life support after being found unresponsive in her bathtub on January 31, has started showing signs that ''she will be okay,'' according to Leolah Brown.

She said: ''I'm very hopeful everything will be okay with Krissi. There are so many signs showing us she will be okay in spite of what people are saying. Krissi is fine, as I sit here before you today.''

Asked if the doctors have told the family that she is improving, Leolah told Fox 5 Atlanta on Tuesday (10.02.15): ''Yes. She's still on life support. We know that she's opening her eyes, that's true. She's opening her eyes and there's a few more things that she is doing. But Krissi is doing well right now, she is.''

Police are investigating the incident because Bobbi Kristina, who is the daughter of Bobby Brown and the late Whitney Houston, reportedly sustained suspicious marks on her face before she was found at her home in Atlanta, Georgia, and Leolah insists she would never hurt herself.

She said: ''Krissi would never do anything to herself. She loved life too much. She had too much going on. She had too much ahead of her.''

Meanwhile, some of Bobbi Kristina's other relatives paid tribute to Whitney on the third anniversary of her death today (11.02.15).

Her aunt Tina Brown shared several images of the singer on Facebook, with the caption: ''I miss you MY sister...rip nip....I miss you sis,...like crazy!!!!!!-...rip my sister... (sic)''

Thunder officially joins Mystic Entertainment

After a long hiatus, former MBLAQ member Thunder has surprised fans by announcing that he has joined Mystic Entertainment. The younger brother of 2NE1′s Sandara Park wrote he wanted something different and more improved.

“Long time no see. I know how difficult it is to wait without news, I’m thinking of showing something different. I have joined label music Apop, which is part of Mystic Entertainment. I will show my best in the future,” he wrote on his Twitter account on February 11.

Apop is a label music under Mystic Entertainment that is led by producer Cho Young Chul. The record label also manages Brown Eyed Girls’ Gain, and Jo Hyung Woo.

Apop announced they are ready to support all of Thunder’s activities in music, acting, and variety shows.

“Thunder is a talented star. We are planning not just to support him in music, but also in acting and variety shows. Especially acting, Mystic Entertainment’s actor agency, Family Actor will actively support him,” they revealed.

Jay Chou and Hannah Quinlivan’s S$260K wedding in Taipei

Following their fairy-tale wedding in England last month, Jay Chou and Hannah Quinlivan threw a second banquet for their family and friends at W Hotel in Taipei last night (Feb 9).

In accordance with Jay’s wishes, the outdoor pool area on the 10th storey of the hotel transformed into a circus-themed party venue. The walkway at the centre of the pool was laid with red carpet while a series of the couple’s wedding photos taken in Prague was displayed at the entrance. The total cost of the grand affair reportedly amounted to NT$6 million (approximately S$260,000).

Jay and Hannah entered the venue as a six-piece string orchestra and a jazz band performed the same march-in song that was played during their wedding in England. It was previously reported that the multi-hyphenate had specially composed the track for his big day.

After the cake-cutting ceremony, Jay thanked guests for their attendance and said: “This event is primarily organised for my grandmother who was unable to travel long distance [for the Europe wedding].”

A violinist and a choir consisting of 11 people provided the background music for the night. Known for his keen interest in magic, Jay also hired a magician to entertain the guests. His grandmother was said to be greatly impressed by the magician who turned paper roses into real flowers for her.

Jay has mentioned on several occasions about his wish to become a father. When asked if the fans can expect good news in the near future, Jay let on after a couple of drinks: “Soon, soon!”
