Nicholas Tse’s production company to ‘streamline operations in Hong Kong’

Post Production Office, Nicholas Tse’s company dealing in advertising, gaming, movie and music video production, is rumoured to be planning to cut jobs and pull out of Hong Kong before September ends.

Nicholas’s manager, Mani Fok, issued a clarification: “We’re not pulling out, but we’re streamlining operations in Hong Kong. Due to financial considerations, we’ll be concentrating our efforts on the mainland Chinese market, and the company hopes to develop and grow well.”

The Hong Kong artiste founded Post Production Office in 2003 in Hong Kong with a business partner, and over the years the firm grew from 10 employees to more than a hundred, distributed across offices in Hong Kong, Beijing and Shanghai.

The company counts HSBC, Standard Chartered and Cheung Kong Holdings among its past clients, and was worth HK$6 billion (approximately S$1 billion) in 2014.
