SM Entertainment stated it′s "currently checking" on Girls′ Generation (SNSD) Taeyeon and EXO Baekhyun′s breakup rumors.
On September 15, one media outlet reported that Taeyeon and Baekhyun, who went public with their relationship, recently broke up due to their schedules. Regarding this, SM Entertainment stated to Newsen, "We′re currently checking." Reports that Taeyeon and Baekhyun were dating surfaced when they were photographed on a date in June of last year. SM Entertainment released an official statement at the time, confirming ""Taeyeon and Baekhyun were close seniors juniors but recently developed good feelings towards each other." Taeyeon and Baekhyun, who share a three-year age difference, garnered attention as SM′s first in-company couple.
Meanwhile, SNSD made its debut with single album Into the New World in 2007 and established itself as Korea′s top girl group through hits Gee, Oh!, Mr. Mr. and more. The group recently wrapped promotions for its fifth full-length album. Baekhyun′s group EXO is currently preparing for Korea′s first-ever dome concert.
