David Bowie's wife will inherit $50 million.

Iman Mohamed Abdulmajid, who was married to the 'Space Oddity' hitmaker for 24 years before he tragically passed away in January after a secret battle with cancer, will be handed the majority of his estate including their Manhattan apartment, it has been revealed.

David's 15-year-old daughter Alexandria will receive her $25 million when she turns 25 whilst his son Duncan - who he had with his former wife Angie Bowie - will receive his $25 million share soon.

A court met today (08.03.16) to approve a guardian for Alexandria, whilst it was also revealed that some of David's long-standing staff will, too, get a share of his estate.

The estate will now be passed through the probate process.

Meanwhile, David's former collaborator Ivo Van Hove previously revealed the late star "fought to live" and was a family man.

He said: "I deeply felt that he really didn't want to die.It was a fight not against death but a fight to live.

"And living, for him, was being a real family man. He loved to go home, to be at home with his daughter, with his wife, his family."
