Jackie Chan blackmailed over affair with Elaine Ng
Following reports that Hong Kong film star Jackie Chan has never paid child support to the mother of his illegitimate child, 17-year-old Etta Ng, Hong Kong producer Tiffany Chen has stepped up to speak up for Jackie.
Tiffany appeared at an event recently, when she was asked about former actress Elaine Ng’s allegations that Jackie has never provided for her or her daughter.
Thought the 58-year-old declined to comment on the matter at first, as it was “their private family matter,” she couldn’t help but to give her two cents worth when someone asked if Jackie would ever shoulder the burden of Etta’s living expenses.
“Etta is the most innocent party in this matter, it was her mother’s choice [to give birth to Etta], Etta didn’t have a choice. This has caused Jackie to be caught between a rock and a hard place,” she let on.
Tiffany admitted that she did not know Etta, nor is she privy to Elaine’s financial situation.
However, when asked if Jackie has ever given money to Etta, she said, “How is he supposed to give [her money]? When Etta is 21, he’ll definitely give [Etta money], but he will never hand it over to Elaine.” She also revealed that while Jackie appears to be indifferent when it comes to Etta, in private, the 62-year-old has shed many tears over the whole incident.
“He’d just started a family, and made a mistake. [Despite all these], his wife [Taiwanese actress Joan Lin] still supports him,” Tiffany shared, insinuating that Jackie felt guilty for his wrongdoings.
Finally, the 58-year-old let on that Jackie was once blackmailed by someone over the affair. However, Tiffany would not name names when asked for the identity of the blackmailer, and would only reveal that the person has since passed away.
“There’s always a reason for everything. The other party’s actions caused Jackie’s heart to harden towards [them], and he no longer wants to be involved with them.” Elaine had Etta in 1999, after an affair with Hong Kong actor Jackie Chan.
The mother-daughter pair made headlines in 2015, after Etta reported Elaine to the police for child abuse.
The 17-year-old later confessed that she had wanted to seek help for her mother, who was a compulsive drinker and smoker.
Elaine held a press conference last week (March 30) to refute rumours that Jackie’s son, Jaycee Chan, had paid for her apartment, revealing that Jackie has never given her a single cent.
