Robin Thicke is concentrating on a new album to help him deal with his divorce.
The
'Blurred Lines' singer has made numerous attempts to win back wife
Paula Patton, 38, since they split in February but after he was
unsuccessful and the actress filed for divorce last week, he is now
throwing himself into some uptempo music to distract him from his woes.
Robin's
actor father, Alan Thicke told the Daily Mirror newspaper: ''We're a
tough bunch. In the next album you're going to dance your ass off.''
Robin,
37, released an album of love songs dedicated to his wife of nine years
- with whom he has four-year-old son Julian - titled 'Paula' earlier
this year in a bid to win her over after allegations of his infidelity
emerged.
He said previously:
''My music is my therapy. When I make these songs and I listen back to
them, they make me feel good about myself because at least I'm admitting
my faults, I'm trying to become a better man and better person.''
However,
Paula has resisted his attempts at reconciliation and filed the
paperwork to kick off their divorce proceedings last week.
The
'2 Guns' actress is reportedly seeking joint legal and physical custody
of Julian and the couple's split is now said to be ''harmonious'', with
no issues expected to cause conflict in court.
