Jimmy Lin welcomes fraternal twin boys

Taiwanese actor and singer Jimmy Lin, 41, announced the birth of his fraternal twin boys on his Weibo account on December 5 at about 4 pm.

“With everyone’s well-wishes, the little princes were born without incident, thank you to all,” he wrote.

The twins, who weighed about 2.64 kg each, were delivered by Caesarean section in Taipei at about 10 am that day. Being fraternal twins, the babies didn’t look exactly alike, and even showed different personality traits: The older twin cried with vigour, while the younger twin appeared calm.

Jimmy and his wife, model Kelly Chen, named the twins Jenson and Kyson, using the first letters of their own names.

Kelly will need about a week to recover from C-section before moving into a confinement centre. Asked whether he would pull a Jay Chou and book an entire floor in the centre, Jimmy said, “I’m not that rich!” and added there was no need for secrecy since it was Kelly’s second time giving birth.

Meanwhile, Jimmy’s eldest, 6-year-old Kimi, visited his new little brothers in hospital a day after they were born, and even brought along a fabric race car steering wheel, a gift from Jimmy years ago, to share with his siblings. “Which is the older brother?” Kimi kept asking.
