With 15 days to go before Running Man stars Song Ji Hyo, Kim Jong Kook, HaHa, Ji Suk Jin and Lee Kwang Soo return to our shores for their Race Start Season 2 in Singapore fanmeet, xinmsn is here to give you a hint of what to expect from the long-awaited show!
The five-city Asian tour kicked off in Bangkok in September, before the quintet travelled to Hong Kong, Indonesia and Malaysia. As Singapore is the last stop, local fans can look forward to unrestrained performances and entertaining onstage shenanigans from the Running Man members at The Star Performing Arts Centre on Nov 29.
This time round, Kwang Soo will be joining the tour in place of Gary, while Yoo Jae Suk is unable to make it again due to conflicting schedules. Better known as “kirin” (which means “giraffe” in Korean and a play on his lanky frame), the 29-year-old, who was in town for his first solo fanmeet last August, is expected to provide much laughter with his goofiness and gags.
During the recent fanmeet in Malaysia, the “Asia Prince” (he was given this title due to his massive popularity among overseas fans) showcased a different side of him by playing the piano. But it didn’t take long for him to return to his comedic self as he teamed up with Suk Jin and presented a hilarious parody performance of “Troublemaker”.
Even though not all of them come from a music background, a “live” show is incomplete without some singing and dancing. HaHa, who visited Singapore for a showcase with his reggae band member Skull, knows how to work the crowd best. As for Jong Kook, his emotional ballads will surely surprise those who are intimidated by his fierce image on TV.
Gary may not be part of the line-up, but his “Monday Couple” partner, Ji Hyo, ensured that he was not forgotten as she performed “Turned off the TV” by Leessang, a hip-hop duo which Gary belongs to, at the Hong Kong fanmeet.
What’s a fanmeet without specially tailored games? Local runners should get prepared to capture their idols’ attention for a chance to go on stage during the interactive segment. Who knows if you might the lucky one to play the “Pepero game” with the members!
Beloved for their down-to-earth personalities, Ji Hyo, Jong Kook, HaHa, Suk Jin and Kwang Soo are set to bring their onscreen vivacity to life during the two-hour show. So fans, get ready for a night of hilarious banter!
