CJ Entertainment announced on August 25 that Jo Jeong Seok and D.O have been cast in film Hyung.Jo Jeong Seok and D.O will be pairing up for the first time through Hyung. The film is about a shameless swindler older brother (Jo Jeong Seok), who returns home after 15 years, appearing unexpectedly before his successful Judo player younger brother (D.O), and the events that unfold while living together.

Hyung will be directed by Barefoot Gi Bong director Kwon Soo Kyung and written by Miracle in Cell No. 7 writer Yoo Young Ah. Jo Jeong Seok will play the shameless older brother Doo Sik, who is in prison for fraud but successfully gets parole by using his national athlete brother as an excuse. D.O will play the younger brother Doo Young, whose life gets tangled when he is involved in an accident right before the national trials.

Jo Jeong Seok said, "I think the greed of all actors is to want to be a part of a good project. That′s why I chose this project without hesitation, and I think the most charming aspect is the human story that everyone can resonate with. I′m already looking forward to it. I will greet you with a good image, so I ask for your interest."

D.O said, "It′s a role I′ve never played before, so I have a lot of greed to want to do well. After reading the scenario in one sitting, I couldn′t sleep because I was shaking, looking forward to it and excited. I won′t forget that feeling and be immersed in acting."

Director Kwon Soo Kyung said, "I′m lucky that the two men, whom I had in mind as my number one choices, were cast, and I′m filled with emotion. I want to bring out the most raw human story through this project. Within the context of the relationship between brothers, through the wounds and healing process, I want to reflect on the meaning of family again. I will do my best to bring out a good piece."

Meanwhile, Hyung will go into filming in October and be released sometime next year.
