BEAST Tops Oricon Singles Chart with ′The Last Word′

BEAST′s new Japanese single The Last Word has topped the Oricon chart.

According to the Oricon chart on November 27, BEAST′s new Japanese single The Last Word sold 35,000 copies in the first day, ranking number one on the Oricon Daily Singles Chart. The single is approaching 50,000 total copies sold. The Last Word is the November single from the group′s 10-month-long series being released by BEAST Music, BEAST′s independent label in Japan. The song is a ballad that features sorrowful lyrics about the feelings a man wants to but can′t convey. The majestic sound, the members′ explosive vocals and lyrical melody gives birth to a song with depth that is perfect for the cold winter season.

BEAST established independent label BEAST Music back in March, releasing a new single every month as part of a 10-month-long project, in effect, differentiating itself in the Japanese music market.

BEAST has been based in Japan for about a month now for its Japan tour. The group is expected to gather more than 30,000 fans on its 2015 Japan tour, which is making stops in eight cities for 12 concerts, and BEAST is already shaking up Japan with its powerful energy. Having topped the Oricon chart with its latest single The Last Word, many are looking forward to seeing what kind of music and performances BEAST will present in future promotions.

Meanwhile, BEAST is set to appear on NHK′s Music Japan on November 30, where the group will perform April single Hands Up.
