Things are looking up for former Hong Kong TVB actress Elaine Ng and her 16-year-old daughter Etta Ng.
A few weeks ago, the 43-year-old mother suddenly confided that her daughter has been harming herself, further worsening the mother-daughter’s estranged relationship after Etta reported her mother to the police for alleged child abuse in March this year. The teenage girl also revealed back then that the physical abuse was a result of her mother’s drinking problems.
However, according to Hong Kong media reports, both Elaine and Etta were spotted talking and laughing while having porridge together at Happy Valley, Hong Kong on Tuesday.
After dinner, Elaine was spotted buying drinks and cigarettes at a convenience store. The 43-year-old mother, who reportedly has a serious drinking problem, did not buy any alcohol that night.
Elaine also admitted to being too strict on her daughter in the past on a variety show and shared that she is now learning how to communicate better with Etta and to be more considerate to her daughter.
