Wonder Girls will be hosring tvN′s SNL Korea 6.
SNL Korea 6 producers stated on October 2, "Following Kim Sang Joong and YB, Wonder Girls will host the October 10 broadcast of SNL Korea 6. Not only will they take jabs at themselves, they are expected to deliver laughs through preposterous sketches filled with the members′ personalities."Wonder Girls made its debut in 2007 with Irony before hitting it big with Tell Me from the group′s first full-length album. The group followed with hits So Hot and Nobody, hitting three consecutive home runs to establish itself as Korea′s girl group, and recently returned after a three-year hiatus with a new band concept through I Feel You. The group′s appearance on SNL Korea 6 is expected to be the grand finale to Wonder Girls′ promotions for their third full-length album.
The producer stated, "We plan to show the Wonder Girls, who fueled the idol craze in the mid to late 2000s, from their debut days until now in SNL Korea′s trademark daring tone. You can look forward to the Wonder Girls members not holding back with the comic acting alongside Shin Dong Yeop, Yoo Se Yoon and the rest of the SNL Korea 6 cast."
Meanwhile, tvN′s SNL Korea is Korea′s version of the original American comedy show SNL (Saturday Night Live), which has been airing for 41 years. The show first aired in Korea in 2011 and has fueled a craze with its 19+ jokes and parodies. Witty parodies and crass humor not seen on traditional broadcasts are a given on the show, which also delivers laughs through its social commentary. The episode hosted by YB will air on October 3, while the Wonder Girls episode will air on October 10.
