The 36th Hong Kong Film Awards nominations were announced today by
Aaron Kwok and Elaine Jin, the previous winners of Best Actor and
Actress respectively.
"Soul Mate" was nominated for 12 awards,
while the nominees for Best Actor were Shawn Yue of "Mad World",
Francis Ng of "Shed Skin Papa", Tony (Ka Fai) Leung of "Cold War II",
and Richie Jen and Gordon Lam of "Trivisa". Although he was not
nominated, Aaron congratulated his co-star Tony and the other nominees.
Nominated
once again for Best Supporting Actress for her performance in "Mad
World", Elaine admitted that she looked forward to her "achievement
report". The other nominees for Best Supporting Actress were Charmaine
Fong of "Mad World", Zhang Yuqi of "The Mermaid", Fish Liew of
"Sisterhood" and Janice Man of "Cold War II".
Eric Tsang was nominated for Best Supporting Actor Award, while his son Derek Tsang was nominated for Best Director.
