Ji Sung took home the grand prize at the 2015 MBC Drama Awards.
This year, Kim Jung Eun of Make a Woman Cry, Kim Hee Sun of Angry Mom, Jeon In Hwa of Legendary Witches and My Daughter, Geum Sa Wol, Ji Sung of Kill Me, Heal Me, Cha Seung Won of Hwajung and Hwang Jung Eum of Kill Me, Heal Me and She Was Pretty were the nominees for the 2015 MBC Drama Awards grand prize, and the winner was selected through viewer votes.Ji Sung, who was praised for his portrayal of seven personalities in Kill Me, Heal Me, received 189,319 votes out of the total 449,480 votes cast, earning him his first-ever grand prize.
Ji Sung took home a total of four awards, including the Best Couple Award with Park Seo Joon, the Top 10 Star Award and the Top Excellence Award.
He said, "This is hard to believe. I don′t think this award is being given to me but to the many people who made Kill Me, Heal Me." He also thanked his co-star Hwang Jung Eum.
MBC vice president Kwon Jae Hong, who presented the grand prize with Lee Yuri, who won the grand prize last year, said, "MBC topped a quality assessment in the ′channel preference′ and ′brand value′ categories, and, of course, in dramas. In order to repay [viewers] for the compliments and assessment, MBC will do its best to develop even fresher and more diverse high-quality dramas in the New Year."
