Louis Tomlinson nearly missed the birth of his son after being banned from the delivery room.
The One Direction singer's former fling Briana Jungwirth gave birth to their son, Sydney Rain, on Friday (22.01.16), but the 24-year-old star reportedly had to spend most of the time the 23-year-old blonde was in labour sitting in his car after an argument with her parents.
A source told The Sun newspaper: "Briana's mother Tammi went berserk at him in the hospital. He spent a lot of the time she was in labour sat in his car because Tammi wouldn't let him near Briana.
"He's looked after her very well but Tammi feels it's not enough. They are trying to work out a custody deal."
Despite the near miss, Louis - who is now dating Danielle Campbell - did eventually get to see his first child being brought into the world and later admitted he is "very happy".
Confirming the little one's birth, he tweeted: "I'm pleased to say my baby son was born yesterday :) He is healthy and pretty amazing :) I'm very happy!! (sic)"
It is not yet known whether Sydney will take Louis or Briana's surname, but the stylist's family are said to have "slightly exaggerated expectations" about how much the hunk should be paying for child support each month.
A source said: "There's already a lot of talk about who is going to pay what. The family have slightly exaggerated expectations of what Louis should be contributing every month."
