Aaron Kwok rejects all talk about his personal life

Aaron Kwok sent shockwaves through the entertainment industry when he confirmed last December that he is in a relationship with 27-year-old model Moka Fang. Since then, he has made known his wish to not discuss his personal life any longer after his fans responded negatively to the news.

That, however, didn’t stop reporters from trying their luck in prying information from the Heavenly King at the premiere of his upcoming movie, The Monkey King 2. The fantasy film’s star-studded cast also includes Gong Li, Feng Shaofeng, Xiaoshenyang and Him Law, among others.

In response to the queries about his relationship’s progress, his only response was, “I won’t mention it (because) today, work is my priority.” He fielded work-related questions like the veteran he is, sharing that he injured his left leg while filming upcoming movie Eternal Wave.

A fall caused him to rupture his ligament and while he has no problems walking and dancing, he is unable to squat and run. As filming is still ongoing, he will wait for the project to wrap in March before he schedules surgery and rehabilitation.

As for his nomination for Best Actor at the upcoming Hong Kong Awards for his role in Port Of Call – a category in which Andy Lau, Jacky Cheung, Tong Leung and Nick Cheung are also nominated for – the 50-year-old shared that he has no particular expectations and will attend the ceremony with a calm heart.
