Jun Ji Hyun to move into S$50,000-a-month confinement centre

South Korean actress Jun Ji Hyun, 34, will be moving into an undisclosed high-end confinement centre near her home in Gangnam, Seoul, according to South Korean media. The facility charges 40 million won (approximately S$50,000) a month.

The actress gave birth to her son at Asan Medical Centre, in the neighbouring Songpa district, on February 10. A statement from her management agency said: “Mother and child are in good health, we hope everyone will send their best wishes to the new mother Jun Ji Hyun, and she will see you again in better-quality productions.”

Ji Hyun is reportedly planning to make her postpartum acting comeback in the second half of the year with a drama series penned by Park Ji-eun, the screenwriter behind Ji Hyun’s 2014 hit My Love from the Star, and she will star alongside actor Lee Min Ho.

Married to banker Choi Joon Hyuk for three years, Ji Hyun announced she was expecting last July.
