Nicky Wu and Cecilia Liu have been legally man and wife for about a year now, but the two will only be holding their wedding banquet this March. The couple, who was spotted at New Zealand’s Auckland airport earlier this week, let on that they were in the country for their pre-wedding shoot.
Their plans for keeping their shoot a low-key affair, however, have been plagued by the paparazzi. Shots of the couple in a courtyard, dressed in fairytale-worthy outfits, were leaked online despite their prior wishes for privacy. Despite the intrusions, the couple looked blissfully in love in the photos, which included props such as a retro convertible.
Lashing out at the paparazzi, Nicky took to his personal Weibo to once again ask for them to stop following them. “Cecilia and I thank everyone for their concern. However, please stop asking your people to follow us during our trip. We know that you’ve worked hard but this has caused a great disturbance to our personal schedule. Please try to understand our wish for privacy and give us personal space, thank you!” he wrote.
Nicky and Cecilia met on the set of period drama Scarlet Heart and have confirmed that their nuptials will be held in neither Beijing nor Taiwan. According to speculation, they will wed on March 10, Cecilia’s birthday, in Bali.
