Calvin Chen wants to start a family soon

Are wedding bells ringing for Taiwanese actor-singer Calvin Chen in the new year? The member of Taiwanese boy band, Fahrenheit, spoke about his plans to tie the knot and start a family of his own in the coming two years during an interview at a recent event.

The singer-actor disclosed that his wish for the new year was to embark on his plans to marry and have a child in the next two years as his parents are starting to be concerned over the matters of his love life. The 36 year-old also brought up the issue of the declination of sperm quality as he grows older and aims to have his first child by the age of 38.

Calvin also spoke about the Taiwanese actress, Joanne Tseng, who he has been romantically linked to for seven years, and maintained that they were “good friends”. However, he added, “I will definitely make the announcement if I’m getting married, but I won’t if I’m just dating”.

The singer also admitted that he had brought his ‘good friend’ home to meet his parents before and his parents are fond of the actress because they felt that the two are compatible.

Despite their “just friends” relationship, Calvin revealed that he and Joanne live close to each other which makes it convenient for them to have meals together. Both of them not too fussed about where they have their meals too and often patronise the small stalls, he added.
