Lin Chi-ling denies rumours of flash marriage to Jerry Yan

Lin Chi-ling has denied rumours of her tying the knot with Jerry Yan on January 1. Speculation that the former couple would be walking down the aisle on the singer-actor’s 40th birthday spread like wildfire on Weibo.

Chi-ling’s manager stepped forward to express that she would be the first to know if the model-actress would be getting married and effectively laid the latest round of rumours to rest.

Jerry and Chi-ling’s relationship was revealed to the public in 2002, when they were photographed watching a movie together. When Chi-ling sent her handphone to a repair shop in 2005, a picture of the pair clad in bathrobes was leaked, leading many to think that they would be bringing their relationship to the next level. Alas, the golden couple broke up in 2006 after a six-year relationship, but have had numerous waves of speculation of a reconciliation.

Chi-ling has openly spoken about their relationship on numerous occasions, often shedding tears when thinking back on the times spent with Jerry.

Both Jerry and Chi-ling have remained single in recent years, with news of the pair getting back together or getting married emerging from time to time. However, the pair has routinely denied such claims, despite claims that they have never broken up.
