Chinese singer G.E.M released a documentary last week (Jan 6), titled G-Force, documenting her arduous journey since she entered the entertainment scene in 2008.
She
previously claimed that she will not mention her ex-boyfriend, Yoga Lin
in interviews again, after she lashed out on him on social media and
hinted that Yoga was not a dependable man,
but the singer caught the media’s attention again when she mentioned
the struggles she had during their three-year relationship in G-Force.
She said, “People misunderstand me when I don’t talk about it, so I should just talk about it”.
However,
her mention of Yoga in the documentary have angered some fans, who felt
that the singer wanted to create more publicity for the film.
In
response to the backlash, the 25 year-old said, “This movie is about the
experiences in my life that have changed me, so I didn’t want to avoid
talking about that part of my life”.
When asked if she will give her blessings to her ex-boyfriend and his newly wedded wife, Kiki Ting,
she answered, “I will, I want them to be happy”. She also doesn’t
resent him for their unhappy split anymore as “time will heal some
things and when you look back in retrospect, you will feel that you’re
alright and happy now”.
G.E.M also did not share if she dated other people
after breaking up with Yoga, but said, “I’ve learnt my lesson and I
won’t be making my relationships public anymore, unless I’m getting
married”.
