Taiwanese singer and actress Jessie Chiang announced her marriage news with her American pilot boyfriend Josh Anderson on Wednesday (Mar 4).
The 27-year-old posted a photo on her Facebook and Weibo, where she rested her left hand on Josh’s hand and wore a two-carat Cartier diamond ring on her ring finger. The ring is said to cost up to NT$3 million (approximately S$130,000).
In the message that Jessie had attached to the photos, she wrote joyfully, “All of you will understand that this is ever(y) woman’s dream. From today, I will no longer live my life alone.”

Last August, Jessie’s relationship with Josh surfaced in a news report and she was branded a third party in Josh’s marriage, in which he has a son and a new-born daughter. However, Jessie insisted that she and Josh were only friends back then.
Yet, the pair raised eyebrows for their intimate interaction online later that month. The 27-year-old wrote on her Facebook, “I wonder what’s wrong with me. Lately, I’ve been smiling to myself a lot,” while Josh quickly responded using a smiley face with heart-shaped eyes.
It was not until last September when the 27-year-old confirmed their relationship by changing her Facebook relationship status from ‘single’ to ‘attached’. Last December, she also posted on her Weibo, “I have met that special someone.”
Having debuted as a model, Jessie decided to focus on her career advancement in China after being laden with several dating rumours with renowned celebrities like Jay Chou, Wilber Pan and Danson Tang.
Fans gave their blessings to Jessie, but some were also sad that she and Jay Chou did not become a couple. Her close celebrity friend Rainie Yang also congratulated her and said that she was not surprised to learn of her marriage.
