Korean entertainer Kim Hyun Joong may seek postponement for his mandatory military duty after receiving his draft notice. If denied, he will enlist on March 31 alongside fellow entertainers Sungmin of Super Junior, Jaejoong of JYJ, and Choi Jin Hyuk.
He was the subject of heavy criticism after he declared that he had no plans to wed his pregnant ex-girlfriend last month, a sentiment which was later echoed by the female party.
The 28-year-old confirmed that he will be enlisting on the date while a representative from his company, KeyEast Entertainment, confirmed the receipt of the draft notice but added that they are considering a postponement and are looking to compromise with officials on his service. They added that he would like to enlist and complete his duty in a quiet manner.
Earlier this year, he made his Japanese comeback with his second album Imademo along with embarking on his 2015 Gemini Japan Tour. The tour included 12 shows in 10 cities, which started in Yokohama in January and wrapped up in Osaka in February.
