Korean celebrity couple Ji Sung (Kwak Tae-geun) and Lee Bo Young welcomed a new member in their family on Saturday (June 13). According to media reports, the actress gave birth to the baby girl, nicknamed “baby Kwak”, at a hospital in Seoul.
A representative from Bo Young’s agency Will Entertainment announced the good news in a press release: “Thanks everyone for the support and blessings. The couple have waited for this moment for a long time. They are very grateful to welcome a healthy baby daughter and they hope to meet their fans onscreen again in the near future.”
Ji Sung, who often talked about his wife during interviews, was also immersed in the joy of becoming a first-time father. “Our first child is born. I am very happy and excited. I will raise her healthily,” he said.
Fans also gave their well wishes on the couple’s social media accounts. “Pictures please! We are looking forward to meeting the baby,” a netizen wrote.
Romantic sparks first flew between Ji Sung and Bo Young when they worked together on 2004 drama Save the Last Dance for Me. After dating for seven years, the lovebirds tied the knot in September 2013.
