Seconds after midnight on Taiwanese actor-singer Kai Ko’s 24th birthday (June 18), Hong Kong actor-singer and one of Kai’s best buddies Jaycee Chan posted an Instagram dedication to his pal with an old and blurred photo of the two of them.
Jaycee wrote, “Happy birthday baby Kai Kai, my good ol’ brother. Your fans, your family and even my family are all supporting you. Continue to work hard and I’m sure you’ll be able to prove yourself.”
Another good friend of Kai and Jaycee, Taiwanese actor Chen Bolin also wished the 24-year-old on Instagram with the caption, “Happy birthday brother K”.
The resident party thrower decided not to have a birthday party this year and his agency revealed that Kai is currently on a backpacking trip overseas, but did not reveal the location.
When asked about whether Kai will be acting in any new shows, his agency denied the rumours, but continued to say that they are currently in the midst of discussing a few projects for Kai.
Kai and Jaycee were spotted together for the first time since they were released from prison at a nightclub just last week (June 11). The pair were hanging out with models all night and only left the premises at 7 am the next day.
After the 2014 weed incident cleared up, Kai has been trying to make a comeback, participating in various charity events in the hopes of using his story to inspire others.
