After Hong Kong singer-actor’s Edison Chen’s unexpected Weibo tirade
against Lin Chiling yesterday, the Weibo community started speculating
about the reason behind the outburst. The 35-year-old has not given a
reason behind his outburst, and would only say that he “had warned her
[Chiling]”, and that “all truths reveal themselves”.
It was then reported that Edison’s rumoured girlfriend,
Chinese model Shu Peiqin and her close friend Chinese model-actress Sui
He, had met Chiling through a fashion-related programme titled Fashion Star.
However,
Sui He was said to have displayed diva-like behaviour on the show, with
her manager even picking a fight with the fashion designers. The
model-actress’s bad attitude was said to have been even more apparent in
comparison with Chiling’s friendly attitude.
After that, Sui He was said to have vented her frustrations to
Peiqin, who was originally slated to become the host of the programme.
However, Peiqin was dropped from the show at the last minute, causing
her to then complain to her rumoured boyfriend, Edison, who made his
anger public on Weibo.
However, the production crew of Fashion Star
stated that Peiqin was never slated to be part of the show, and that
while Chiling had been in talks to join the show for a few months, she
only agreed towards the end. They also confirmed that Sui He had also
joined the show recently, and is getting along with everyone.
They
also posted a picture of Chiling with Sui He on their Weibo, denying
that there was bad blood between the two. When asked to comment on the
matter, Sui He also denied being on bad terms with Chiling.
Chiling also updated her Weibo this morning, writing, “Every day, I
hope to be able to live properly, and be happy. Happiness is not just a
personality, but a form of strength.” She then continued on to extol the
virtues of a forgiving and magnanimous attitude, showing that she was
not affected by Edison’s rant.
Edison still remained unapologetic, and even uploaded a picture of him showing his middle finger on Facebook.
When
asked to comment on the matter, Chiling’s ex-beau, Taiwanese
singer-actor Jerry Yan also said through his company, “Chiling is a kind
and filial woman; this must be because of a misunderstanding.”
