Pictures of Taiwanese actress Michelle Chen and Chinese actor Chen
Xiao’s wedding favours were revealed earlier this week on Weibo.
The
gift box features a logo designed by Chen Xiao himself, which comprises
of two ‘C’s and a circle depicting a gemstone. It is said that the two
‘C’s are meant to represent the couple, whose surnames are both Chen.
Meanwhile, the gemstone in the middle is said to be the ‘glue’ that
draws the couple together.
As for Michelle, she drew a cute
picture of two rabbits hugging for their wedding favours, as Chen Xiao
was born in the year of the rabbit. Michelle herself also frequently
uses the rabbit emoji whenever she shares Chen Xiao’s posts on her Weibo
account, affirming that she uses the rabbit as a symbol of love between
the two.
The biscuits were bought from renowned traditional pastry shop, Kuo
Yuan Ye, who has a line of pastries named after a pair of bunnies as
well.
Additionally, the lovebirds also included a handwritten
message in the gift box, with the words lovingly penned down by the two
of them.
Chen Xiao proposed to
Michelle at the end of 2015 in Paris, France after dating for seven
months. During Chinese New Year this year, the couple travelled to meet their respective in-laws, and later announced that they were set to wed in July this year, with a wedding ceremony on July 19 in Beijing, China, followed by a banquet in Taipei, Taiwan on July 21.
