Taiwanese celebrity couple Christine Fan and Blackie Chen
announced on Facebook yesterday morning that they are expecting a pair
of twins. The lovebirds sealed their 11 years of courtship in marriage
three years ago.
On their individual platforms, the
parents-to-be wrote: “Thank God for blessing us with two little lives.
Thanks everyone for the concern. We’ve got [a pair of] twins.”
In
a separate Instagram post, Christine revealed that they have nicknamed
the babies “Big Panda” and “Small Panda”, as the twins were conceived
after she slipped in the toilet
and received 20 stitches near her left brow in June. Back then, the
singer cancelled all work activities to recover from her injury.
Rumours of her pregnancy sparked when she rejected the Ice Bucket Challenge and chose to donate money instead. When probed on his wife’s status, Blackie claimed that Christine “has always been afraid of the cold”.
