Singaporean singer-songwriter JJ Lin, who just bagged two awards at the 27th Golden Melody Awards, recently attended the premiere of his music documentary, “If Miracles Had A Sound”.
The music documentary, which took 455 days to film, was directed by Aubrey Lam, who wrote and directed the film Twelve Nights.
At
the premiere, JJ revealed that he hoped to allow more people to
understand the story behind the lives of musicians, and admitted that it
was difficult to get used to having a camera around him at all times.
Additionally, the 36-year-old also revealed that he used to be an
assistant for Singaporean singer A-Do. He recalled an incident when he
had to help test the sound levels before A-Do’s autograph session,
during his days as an assistant, and revealed that he was mistaken to be
A-Do as their voices sounded similar.
JJ also encouraged those
who are still chasing their dreams to “give themselves a bit more time,
and be patient”. No matter what one used to do in the past, be it being a
food runner or a waiter, “all these experiences are part and parcel of
life”, he shared.
The singer-songwriter also plans to stay
grounded and “will not grow complacent” despite bagging two trophies at
the Golden Melody Award.
