Shu Qi dodges questions on her relationship with Stephen Fung

Taiwanese actress-model Shu Qi made an appearance at a press conference for her upcoming movie, My Best Friend’s Wedding, where she was questioned about her relationship with her rumoured beau, Hong Kong actor-director Stephen Fung.

In the movie, the 40-year-old plays a character who only realises that she’s in love with her best friend after he decides to marry someone else. Thus, when she was asked if she’d be getting married soon, Shu Qi answered, “I’ve gotten married a lot of times, I’ve filmed a number of wedding scenes during my previous projects!”

Then, when she was asked how she was faring on the romantic front lately, the actress-model decided to take things a step further. Shu Qi started answering questions as her character in My Best Friend’s Wedding, and gazed longingly at her co-star, Chinese actor William Feng as she said, “I’ve not been feeling too good lately, because in the movie, William got married to another person already.”

Shu Qi and Stephen first worked together for the 1997 film, Beauty, after which rumours emerged claiming that the two were in a relationship. In 2012, the couple were seen on the same flight to Tokyo, Japan, and returning to Hong Kong together, though they later denied that they had gone on a holiday together. The two of them have been romantically linked since 19 years ago, although neither have admitted to their relationship.
