Brooklyn Beckham dumped Chloe Grace Moretz because she was too "clingy".
The 17-year-old aspiring photographer recently split from the
19-year-old actress after just a few months of dating, and it has now
been claimed the teenager - who is the son of David and Victoria Beckham
- ended their romance because the 'Carrie' star kept complaining when
he went back to London, where he is based with his family.
A source told The Sun newspaper: "Brooklyn is so young with his whole
life ahead of him, he basically just didn't need the aggro.
"He was besotted with her at first, but as time wore on Chloe wanted to
become more serious and given he lives on the other side of the
Atlantic, it was something he couldn't offer."
However, the insider wouldn't be surprised if the couple - who briefly
dated in 2014 before getting back together earlier this year - reconcile
again in the future.
The source added: "But, like any youngsters in a relationship, there wouldn't be much of a surprise if they get back together.
"Especially if they go on to mix in the same circles."
It was previously revealed the couple split sometime over the last few weeks when Brooklyn was in Los Angeles with his family.
The Beckhams arrived back in London on Tuesday (30.08.16) following a
two-month break in California and Brooklyn was said to have looked
downbeat upon his return.
The former couple had spent a large chunk of the summer together,
attending various public events and documenting their relationship via
social media.
Chloe confirmed their romance in May, saying she wanted to be open about
their relationship rather than trying to keep it a secret.
She said previously: "We're in a relationship. It's fine. It's no biggie.
"And I think that, you know, the more I don't make it mysterious, the
more that people don't care. So yes, we're in a relationship."
The 'If I Stay' actress also revealed Brooklyn was a major source of encouragement and strength for her.
She shared: "My boyfriend is a huge support.
"I mean, don't get me wrong, I don't need a man for anything.
"But when I'm feeling bad about myself, he's like, 'Stop. Look at what you say in interviews. Look at what you stand for.
"Listen to your own words, because you're as beautiful as you say you are!'"
What's more, Chloe has previously gushed about the Beckham family.
She said: "[The Beckhams] are a great family. They don't tout their money either.
"They'd [the family] understand the travel, the sex scenes with random people, the crazy schedule."
