Bigbang's TOP tells of his growing interest in art

TOP featured not as a singer nor an actor, but an art-lover in an interview with lifestyle magazine, ‘Maison’.

The Bigbang rapper who visited international art fair Singapore Art Week earlier this year, talked about his interests in art with the magazine.

“Art and design are the strength that has sustained my life and music,” TOP said about his passion for art and design. According a design and interior insider, TOP is a collector of 80 chairs and a house furnished full with designer furniture.

“I think that for a leather sofa, you can mix metal, stone, wood and fabric materials. I think each of those materials has their respective strengths, and when you combine them into one, the space will be filled with good energy,” TOP added, revealing his personal flair for interior decoration.

TOP is currently preparing for two art projects. He is scheduled to act as co-curator with curator Lee Youngjoo, selecting the works of Korean and Japanese artists for exhibition at one Asian artists group show. Another project is his collaboration with Vitra Museum where he'd be designing chairs.
