Britney Spears already working on album 10

Britney Spears is already working on her next album.

The 'Make Me' hitmaker only released her ninth studio LP 'Glory' in August and has already been recording some new tunes for her follow-up, although she's not sure what the overall style will be.

She mused: "I'm not sure what I want the next album to sound like.

"I just know that I'm excited to get into he studio again and actually have already been back recording."

The 34-year-old pop superstar was really pleased with how well 'Glory' turned out and how experimental and different it was from her previous outings and has hinted she could change it up once again on the next record.

In an interview with the blog Vegas Player, she said: "I think the vibe of 'Glory' is a lot different to my previously albums.

"We experimented with so many things while we were making the record.

"I feel like this time, I was really able to be hands on.

"I'm so proud of every song that we put on the album ... the songs on 'Glory' were no-brainers for me - they were the best of all the songs we recorded."

Britney's latest single from the album is 'Slumber Party', which comes with a sexy music video featuring Tinashe.

The 23-year-old singer joins the 'Work Bitch' hitmaker at a sleepover, in which they writhed around on top of a group of half-naked dancers whilst they sang, "we ain't gonna sleep tonight" in the steamy clip.

Britney makes her way into the house, it is clear the party is in full swing and she surveys the guests that have gathered at the property.

By the second verse, Tinashe appears in a cleavage-baring blue corset, where she sings, "Let's fill up this clawfoot bath with bubbles / Loving me so hard it's causing trouble / If it's seven minutes in heaven, make it double." Soon, she is joined by Britney and they share an intimate moment.

Later in the video, Britney sets pulses racing as she seductively crawls down a table and laps up a glass of spilt milk.

Golden Horse Awards criticised for multiple slip-ups

The glitzy Golden Horse Awards wrapped up during the weekend, where Fan Wei, Zhou Dongyu and Ma Sichun were awarded with the top honours of the night. The ceremony, however, was not without controversy.

Among which, emcee Matilda Tao was slammed for joking that Shu Qi was pregnant. She, along with Shu Qi, clarified after the ceremony that it was all in good fun and that Shu Qi is not pregnant. Netizens commented that she was unprofessional despite her statement that she is “trying to better myself”.

Red carpet host Calvin Chen was also pointed out to have not done his job well, with many netizens feeling that he “kept interrupting others who were speaking.” In response, he promised that he will “continue to work hard and face criticism with a positive mindset.”

In addition, Stefanie Sun’s lackluster performance also caused viewers to muse that the 53rd Golden Horse Awards did not live up to standards set by previous years. It was later revealed that she was down with a flu for almost a week prior to the show. Her friends and fans also rallied behind the songbird, sharing, “It’s fine as long as you did your best.”

Fellow Singaporean Tanya Chua openly showed her support for Stefanie and updated her social media platforms with, “Life will go on and songs will continue to be sung!”

Christine Fan also cheered Stefanie on, sharing that she too, once suffered from a cold during a performance after catching it from her children. “Humans aren’t robots, so how can we always be flawless? Stefanie, you’re amazing!” she gushed.

To make matters worse, French actress Juliette Binoche had problems communicating with director Hou Hsiao Hsien, who was presenting an award with her. The lack of a translator present caused visible awkwardness between the pair.

The organisers later clarified that they had discussed their scripts prior to taking the stage and that the presence of a translator was unnecessary.

Due to the lack of time restrictions for award speeches, the ceremony also overran for more than an hour. Originally scheduled to end by 11pm, it ended up closing past midnight. In response, organisers shared, “The timetable is just for reference.”

Vanness Wu once wanted six children

Vanness Wu makes a widely-anticipated return to the music scene after a three-year hiatus with his new song, ‘Boogie’. At his Nov 27 presser, his fellow F4 buddies showed their loyalty by sending in video messages of support and congratulations.

Vic Zhou’s daughter was also part of the video and made a declaration wishing that “Uncle Vanness’ album will sell like hotcakes!” Visibly enchanted by the little girl, Vanness later admitted that he once dreamed of having six children of his own too, but that he has now decided to let nature take its course.

Explaining why he took so long to release new material, Vanness mused, “There were some things that I was continuously discussing with (Universal Music). The direction of my lyrics has also changed a lot and I recorded my song multiple times in order to show everyone the most earnest side of me.”

Teasing that his upcoming album, which will be released next month, is worth the wait, the 38-year-old declared, “You’ll definitely go ‘Oh my god!’ after you hear it. I’m also trying out choreography that I’ve never done before.”

When asked about his wife, Arissa Cheo, he gushed, “She’s really busy with her label now and she’s so amazing and capable. The clothes she creates are very trendy and can give younger females a different kind of vibe.”

Confirming that she has listened to his new songs, he shared that she did not have much input on them. “I only listen to myself when I create music – it’s just like how I don’t say too much when she’s designing clothes.”

Kanye West doesn't have hospital release date

Kanye West doesn't have a new hospital release date after remaining there on Monday (28.11.16).

The 39-year-old rapper was admitted to the UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles, California, last week for exhaustion and sleep deprivation but was expected to get out yesterday, but it is not now known when he might be able to go home.

According to TMZ, sources with direct knowledge of the situation told the gossip website that Kanye - who had to cancel the remaining dates of his 'Saint Pablo Tour' as a result of his hospitalisation - has not yet recovered enough for him to be allowed home.

When he is released, the 'Flashing Lights' hitmaker's personal doctor will take care of him.

Kanye's wife Kim Kardashian West - who he has three-year-old daughter North and 11-month-old son Saint with - will also help him as much as possible as she has done while he has been in hospital, lying by his side and even feeding him at times.

A source recently said: "Kim has been amazing. She knew he couldn't keep going the way he was. She has been by his side through all of this, helping to feed him and laying by his side."

It's been a particularly traumatic few months for Kim who, last month, was robbed at gunpoint by masked invaders who stormed her Paris apartment, tied her up, put her in the bath, and stole $10 million worth of jewellery.

Despite this, she has been visiting Kanye in hospital constantly and been his rock.

A source said: "She has been an unbelievably devoted spouse. He's a lucky man."
But her Paris ordeal may have affected Kanye as she wasn't able to attend as many of his tour dates as usual following the attack.

A source recently explained: "In the past, he snapped back quickly. This has been going on for years. In the past when Kanye seemed to struggle, no one took it too seriously. The attitude was more like it was just Kanye being Kanye.

"Things would go back to normal. This time is much different.

"Without having Kim by his side during the tour as planned, Kanye wasn't able to snap back. Kim being absent because of her own struggles seems to be why things are different with Kanye this time."

Shannen Doherty: 'Radiation is frightening to me'

Shannen Doherty found her first day of radiation treatment "frightening".

The 45-year-old actress - who was diagnosed with breast cancer in February 2015 - had her first radiotherapy session, and the former 'Charmed' star has admitted she hated it and was so scared about the treatment she was tempted to run away.

The star shared a picture of her leaning forward in the hospital chair with the patient's gown on to her Instagram on Monday (28.11.16), which she captioned: "First day of radiation treatment. I look like I'm about to make a run for it which is accurate. Radiation is frightening to me. Something about not being able to see the laser, see the treatment and having this machine moving around you just scares me.

I'm sure I'll get used to it but right now.... I hate it. #radiation #radiationmondaysucks #stillfightinglikeagirl (sic)."

And Shannen - who is currently married to her third husband Kurt Iswarienko - is nearly finished her chemotherapy, which she began in July.

Speaking previously about Shannen and her treatment, her doctor, Lawrence Prio, said: "Shannon is doing amazing. We have just a few more weeks of treatment, and then we'll be nearly finished with the chemotherapy."

Although the Tennessee-born star is ploughing through her medical treatments, the cancer stricken star has admitted she sometimes fears she won't survive the disease, although those negative "moments" soon pass.

Alongside a heartbreaking photograph of Shannen lying on her side on a hospital bed after a round of chemo-therapy, she wrote: "#fbf to a very short bit ago. Day after #chemoday isn't always so great. Sometimes one isn't able to dance, or eat or even to think about the next day. Sometimes it just feels like you aren't going to make it. That passes. Sometimes the next day or 2 days later or 6 but it passes and movement is possible. Hope is possible. Possibility is possible. To my cancer family and everyone suffering.... stay courageous. Stay strong. Stay positive. #wegotthis. #fightlikeagirl (sic)"

Stefanie Sun apologises for lackluster performance

Stefanie Sun made her long-awaited comeback in Taiwan at the 53rd Golden Horse Awards but surprised many with her less-than-stellar performance.

Having not performed in Taiwan for 19 months, her fans were excited to hear her sing again. On her set-list were songs such as ‘Lu Bing Hua’ and ‘Zhe Ge Shi Jie’, which were performed with the Taipei Philharmonic Youth and Children's Choir.

Some believed that it was a bad case of nervousness that affected the songbird, who was unstable during her performance and unable to hit the high notes. There were also some who remarked that the children sang better than Stefanie, claiming that they saved the performance.

Making a statement through her label, Stefanie shared that she prepared for over two months for the show after receiving an invitation to perform. From picking her set-list, watching the children choir’s past performances and to arranging her songs with the musical director, the 38-year-old put in a lot of effort into putting on the best show.

However, she came down with the flu last Monday but continued to give her best during the rehearsals. Unfortunately, she was unable to recover before the performance, which resulted in her lackluster singing.

After reading netizens’ comments, Stefanie is said to have blamed herself and told the staff around her, “(It turned out like this even though) I worked hard to prepare for this for so long. I’m really, sorry; I’m so sorry (and) I feel like dying.”

Taiwanese actress Gwei Lun-Mei attended the 53rd Golden Horse Awards on Saturday night as award presenter and proceeded to meet up with the cast of Girlfriend Boyfriend for a late night drinking session after the awards ceremony, with boyfriend Leon Dai nowhere in sight.

The 32 year-old was seen meeting up with co-stars Joseph Chang and Rhydian Vaughan at a nearby bar after she changed out of her awards ceremony outfit.

The trio proceeded to drink until the wee hours and an intoxicated Rhydian even walked out of the bar unknowingly at one point. To ensure that he got home safely, the actor was sent home to where he lived in Tian Mu via Lun-mei’s company car while Joseph sent the actress home in a taxi.

The trio became close in 2012 while filming on the set of Girlfriend Boyfriend, and Lun-Mei was awarded the Golden Horse award for best leading actress for her role in the movie while Joseph was nominated for best leading actor.

Britney Spears dating Sam Asghari?

Britney Spears is reportedly dating fitness model Sam Asghari.

The 34-year-old singer cast the hunk in the music video for her new single 'Slumber Party', and the pair have since been spotted heading out for dinner together, sparking romance rumours in the process.

Taking to his Instagram on Saturday (26.11.16), Sam posted a picture of himself and the blonde beauty looking cosy at a dinner table, captioned with a series of sushi based emojis which suggested the pair enjoyed a Japanese themed meal together.

Fans of the 'Toxic' hitmaker quickly began to comment on the possibility of a budding romance between the pair, and Sam later deleted the picture from his account.

Previously, Sam spoke out about how he was "shy" when he was younger, but has learned to be confident in himself as that's what he believes women like.

He said: "[I was] a very shy person growing up.

"I've learned that there's nothing a woman likes more than a confident man, not too cocky, just a very humble gentleman. No girl I know likes cocky."

And Sam's humble nature may prove to be a hit with the 'Make Me' singer - who has two sons Sean, 11, and Jayden, 10, with former husband Kevin Federline - as she claimed last month she was tired of men playing "mind games".

She said: "A lot of men are about games. It's just the mind game with guys, the calling back and texting, it's just too much, it's silly. Actually, I'm not looking for men right now, I'm really happy with myself. I'm not looking for anything, I'm fine with the way I am.

"I like someone that's just nice overall, just a nice guy really is groundbreaking in this world."

Emma Stone says cast of La La Land were like 'worker chickens'

Emma Stone says the cast of 'La La Land' were like a team of "worker chickens".
The 27-year-old actress stars with Ryan Gosling, John Legend and J. K. Simmons in the romantic musical comedy and Emma admits the cast developed a wonderful bond.

Recently, Emma had listened to a TED Talk on Margaret Heffernan's 2015 presentation about chicken behaviour, which revealed the difference between 'worker chickens' and 'super chickens' and she insists there were no egotistic super chickens on the set of Damien Chazelle's movie.

Speaking to Backstage magazine, she said: "There are worker chickens and super chickens. They did this study, and the worker chickens, by the end of it, had gotten all this stuff done. But the super chickens, all but three had pecked each other to death. I guess I relate to that in the sense that it feels good for me to collaborate with people and be in a community. It's hard for me to be, like, this sole person doing something. [With] theatre or something like 'La La Land,' we all were such a team the whole time.

"Is this a really weird roundabout discussion? I'm not a super chicken!"

Emma and Ryan had to perform several song and dance numbers for 'La La Land' and despite their extensive stage and screen backgrounds the pair had to be taught a lot of basic dance steps, but they had fun doing it.

She said: "Our first six weeks of rehearsal, our choreographer [Mandy Moore] taught us tap and ballroom things that they would teach a 7-year-old who's taking tap for the first time. In getting to know what our strengths and weaknesses were, she shaped and reshaped these dance numbers to make sure that we could do them in a way that was, hopefully, exciting but not embarrassing."

Michelle Yeoh to Asian actors: Brush up on language skills

“As I told you last year, you don’t have to give me an award to get me to come back! (laughs)” said Michelle Yeoh in a brief speech at last night’s 27th Singapore International Film Festival (SGIFF) Gala Opening. “I truly believe that SGIFF has been a real champion in providing a platform for filmmakers in our region, and we desperately need that.”

Less than a year after she was previously in town for the 26th edition of SGIFF (where she was bestowed the Cinema Legend Award), the 54-year-old Malaysian-born superstar returned once again to attend this year’s event as the Guest-of-Honour.

Many other actors and filmmakers, including Felicia Chin, Ian Fang, Royston Tan, Lim Yu Beng, Eric Khoo, as well as the cast and directors of festival films Interchange and Walking Street were also in attendance.

After walking the red carpet and posing for frantic photographers at Marina Bay Sands’ MasterCard Theatres, Michelle had a quick – about three minutes, to be exact – doorstop interview with the media, where she remained tight-lipped about recent reports about her involvement in Star Trek: Discovery.

“I cannot confirm (anything about that)!” she exclaimed. “I think CBS (the network for the upcoming TV show) will make their own announcement and we should let them do it. But we all grew up with the Star Trek generation, so of course I’m a big fan.”

Despite Michelle’s reluctance to address the topic, SGIFF Chairman Mike Wiluan let slip that he can’t wait to catch her in the series. Star Trek: Discovery’s consulting producer Nicholas Meyer has also reportedly revealed her casting news, but stopped short of specifying her exact role.

Nicholas Tse, Faye Wong spotted sleeping together

After getting back together in 2014, Nicholas Tse and Faye Wong have been spotted holding hands and going on dates on numerous occasions. There are also rumours that the couple, who reunited after they split 11 years ago, will be tying the knot in Bhutan soon.

Fresh pictures of the lovebirds traveling together surfaced online recently. In said picture, Nicholas and Faye appeared  comfortable in each other’s company and were seen sitting—and sleeping—side-by-side in the first-class cabin of an airplane.

However, many believe that this is not a recent picture of the couple as the Chinese singer is sporting an evidently shorter crop which is different from the hairstyle she had at her most recent public appearance.

In other related news, Nicholas was onboard a jet plane to promote his ‘Chef Nic’ cookies, a collaboration with an airline company, three days ago (Nov 21). On the flight, the Hong Kong singer disclosed that Faye has tasted all the flavours of his cookies, but remained coy when asked which flavour was her favourite.

Ellie Goulding threatened to 'punch' a guest at event

Ellie Goulding allegedly threatened to punch a guest after she was refused entry into the VIP section at an event in London on Tuesday (22.11.16).

The 'Love Me Like You Do' hitmaker is said to have flown into a rage after a fellow Animal Ball attendee stopped her from going into the swanky private area of the bash, which descends on 40 areas across the capital every year, because "only VIPs could enter."

Things between the pair got heated and the woman - whose identity is a mystery - was overheard telling the 29-year-old pop star not to "f***ing mess" with her.

Her aggressive behaviour lead to the blonde beauty retaliating and Ellie was overheard branding her a "bitch" in a foul-mouthed rant with her friends shortly after the row.

Speaking to the MailOnline later on in the evening, Ellie said: "I've never met anyone as mean in my life. If she speaks to me again I will f**king punch her! I swear I'm so mad."

Ellie was joined at the annual ball, which aims to raise money to protect endangered creatures from extinction, by her close pals Anna Friel and Elizabeth Hurley as they all donned extravagant elephant-shaped headpieces all in the name of the charity.

The 'Burn' hitmaker had put on an impressive performance for Princess Eugenie - the granddaughter of Queen Elizabeth - and Lily Cole prior to the blazing row.

The singer had been trying to raise cash for the Elephant Family, Space for Giants, Lion Guardians and the Aspinall Foundation throughout the evening by hosting a table at the Arts Club in London in the hope of contributing to the £2 million charity target.

Andrea Bocelli to star in biopic

Andrea Bocelli has filmed a cameo in a biopic about himself.

The 58-year-old singer has shot scenes of him performing Puccini's 'Nessun dorma' onstage at Cinecitta Studios in Rome for the forthcoming film 'The Music of Silence', which is based on his memoirs of the same name, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

But Andrea will only appear in a small part of the motion picture as Toby Sebastian has signed up to portray his alter-ego, Amos Bardi, with Antonio Banderas set to star as his maestro.

Luisa Ranieri and Jordi Molla will play his mother and father respectively.

The biopic will tell the story of Bocelli's life growing up in Italy when he went blind aged 12, and the struggles he encountered to read music in Braille and other issues he faced in law school and at talent shows.

The film will also recall the moment he was discovered by Luciano Pavarotti when he heard him perform Allegri's 'Miserere'.

He has gone on to sell more than 80 million albums worldwide and had seven records in the top 10 of the Billboard 200 chart.

Some of Bocelli's previously unreleased songs from his youth will also be heard in the biopic.

Andrea Iervolino, Monika Bacardi and Roberto Sessa are producing the movie.

Aaron Kwok’s girlfriend lashes out at online trolls

Last year, Aaron Kwok confirmed that he was dating 27-year-old model Moka Fang last December. After negative feedback from netizens, along with an increasing amount of attention on his love life, he announced less than a week later that he would avoid talking about his love life.

While he has stood firm in his decision to keep his relationship under wraps, reports have surfaced that the pair’s relationship has turned rocky because of the stress that comes along with dating the Heavenly King.

It seems that Moka has finally had enough of the negativity directed at her as she lashed out on her personal Weibo on Monday (Nov 21). “After dealing with the insults, sarcasm and abuse for so long, I’ve decided that I will stay true to myself from today. For the past year, I’ve been feeling pity for myself (and wondering) what I’ve done wrong. I’m not going to pretend that I’m that strong any longer.

All of you can come at me,” she ranted.

Fans have showed their support for her in response to her tirade, leaving messages of encouragement such as, “You can say whatever you want to say and stop letting yourself suffer. Be happy!” while others have comforted her with, “It’s normal to be criticised; only those who are worth being talked about get talked about. Don’t take it to heart.”

Faye Wong, Li Yapeng reunite for charity run

Faye Wong reunited with ex-husband Li Yapeng and their 10 year-old daughter Li Yan to commemorate the 10th anniversary of their charity organisation Smile Angel Foundation yesterday.

The 47 year-old singer, who was rumoured to have underwent a cataract surgery last month (Oct 26), turned up in sunglasses and dull colours while Yapeng and Li Yan sported colourful windbreakers and the organisation’s T-shirt.

pair appeared close and were seen giving each other hugs and running together.
Although there are no family pictures of the trio, fans were pleasantly surprised to see the divorced couple attending the charity run together after they split in 2013.

The ex-couple founded the Beijing-based charity organisation to help Chinese children born with cleft lips in 2006, after Li Yan underwent corrective surgery for severe cleft lip. In the 10 years of its operation, the organisation has paid the corrective surgeries for 11,560 children with the help of their donors, a team of 681 medical personnel and more than 1,000 volunteers.

Faye has another daughter, Leah Dou, from her first marriage with musician Dou Wei, and she is currently in a relationship with Hong Kong actor Nicholas Tse.

The Spice Girls comeback song leaks online

The Spice Girls GEM reunion song 'Song For Her' has leaked online.

The three-minute upbeat pop tune marks the musical return of Geri Horner, Emma Bunton and Mel B, who have come together again without bandmates Victoria Beckham and Mel C, who have refused to participate in the comeback.

'Song For Her' is a chorus-heavy track about female empowerment, with the girls repeatedly singing in harmony: "This is a song for her/ You know you light it up/ You know who you are/ Stand up, stand up/ She's got that boom-boom pop/ That's something they can't stop/ She's got that song for her."

Emma, 40, insisted earlier this year that 'Song For Her' - which has appeared on Facebook and YouTube - was "not a single" and was instead the result of the girls just having fun in the studio.

She said in July of the then-unheard track: "You know, us girls love creating stuff. We went and had a laugh in the studio. It's not a single, it's just we were creating."

The girls were originally tipped to reunite this year, which would have marked the release of their breakthrough hit 'Wannabe', but Mel B admitted they are still finalising the details of their comeback.

She previously shared: "We are going to do something, us three. We're going to perform and celebrate together for the people.

"I think because we're a British band, we're probably going to start in London and work our way round."

The girls returned to the recording studio in November, but the specifics of their plans are still to be confirmed.

It has, however, been revealed that Victoria and Mel C will not participate in the project.

Tickets for the 31-year-old singer's Europe and North America tour dates went on sale on Monday (21.11.16), and fans of the chart-topping star wasted no time in seizing the opportunity to watch Bruno in the flesh.

Bruno's 100-date '24K Magic World' tour sees the American singer - whose real name is Peter Hernandez - appear at five shows in the New York City area, as well as four nights at The O2 Arena in London and another four shows at the Forum in Inglewood, California.

The shows will include performances of the hits from Bruno's '24K Magic' album, which featured the single 'Versace on the Floor'.

Meanwhile, Bruno recently admitted he found it "daunting" working on his new album.

Bruno said he was apprehensive about releasing '24K Magic', his first album in four years, because of the success he previously enjoyed with the single 'Uptown Funk'.
He recently shared: "This album, it was daunting, because coming off of 'Uptown Funk' was like the biggest song I've ever been a part of. And then you're like, alright, now what are you gonna do?"

Bruno also said he "really cares" about what his fans think of him and his music.

He explained: "I just really care about what people see. I want them to know that I'm working hard for this. The artists that I look up to like, you know, Michael, Prince, James Brown. You watch them and you understand that they're paying attention to the details of their art.

"And they care so much about what they're wearing, about how they're moving, about how they're making the audience feel. They're not phoning it in. They're going up there to murder anybody that performs after them or performs before them.

That's what I've watched my whole life and admired."

Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel love Pokémon GO

Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel are obsessed with 'Pokémon GO'.

The Swedish royals are big fans of the mobile game and would like to see their children - four-year-old Princess Estelle and eight-month-old Prince Oscar - playing it because it keeps them "active".

Daniel, 43, who used to own his own gym, told Swedish newspaper the Aftonbladet: "Our hunting's been out of control.

"It wasn't that the children's gaze never left the screen, but their backsides definitely left the couch.

"I really wanted to understand ['Pokémon GO'] and check it out.

"People sometimes criticise the game, but it does get kids active and moving."

The couple came to discover the Nintendo game after several gamers appeared in the grounds of Solider Palace in Sweden, where the family spend the summer months, looking for Pokémon.

And it seems Estelle is getting on better with her baby brother as she was "disappointed" when she met him for the first time.

She was upset that he had his eyes closed when she went to visit him at the Karolinska University Hospital in Stockholm.

Urban Ahlin, the Swedish parliamentarian told Svenskedam: "Princess Estelle was incredibly proud and excited about her new brother but she was a little disappointed that he had his eyes closed all the time, and couldn't see the drawings she had made."

Wong Cho-lam steals the show at TVB 50th Anniversary Gala

Hong Kong comedian and host Wong Cho-lam hosted TVB’s annual gala show, alongside fellow Hong Kong actor and actresses Liza Wang, Carol Cheng and Natalis Chan, marking his return to the Hong Kong entertainment scene after working in the Mainland in recent years.

Cho-lam performed a short comedy skit with Johnson Lee and Louis Yuen, much to the delight of the audiences at the live show and viewers at home. The trio, known as The Three Deities in TVB, poked fun at various actors by doing tongue-in-cheek parodies of popular TVB dramas, which included drama Two Steps From Heaven, starring Bosco Wong, and Brother’s Keeper 2, starring Hugo Ng. They also teased Kevin Cheng for recent rumours of him cohabiting with girlfriend Grace Chan.

The short, lighthearted banter between the trio tickled the audience and brought the show to a climax. They even walked home with the Favourite Talent Performance award after receiving the most votes from the public.

The star-studded event show also saw a sexy belly dance number by actresses Alice Chan, Samantha Ko, Sammi Cheung and Yoyo Chen, piano ballad by Selena Li, hula hoop challenge by Katy Kung and Joey Mak, and many more.

However, the biggest winners of the night were Oscar Li, who won the grand prize of the lucky draw, cash prize of HK$1 million (approximately S$183,760) and Elvina Kong, who won the second prize worth HK$200,000 (approximately S$36,755).

Winner of grand prize for the previous year, Vincent Wong was accused of receiving the cash prize as a reward for the renewal of his contract with TVB, in response, Vincent said during an interview, “That is not true, if it is, please tell me how I can apply for that [perk].” He also explained further that the prize was awarded fairly, according to the public’s votes, and that he had already renew his contract long before the awards show last year.

Bruno Mars: Music is about love

Bruno Mars got into music for the women.

The 'Just The Way You Are' hitmaker believes music was created for "guys and girls to get together".

He told The Sunday Times' Culture magazine: "The girls I liked weren't listening to Elvis. They were listening to New Edition, Boyz II Men. So that's where I started changing. [It] absolutely [worked]. Any musician will say that's what they got into it for. That's why I'm doing it ...

"If you ask me, 95% of music is about love. Cavemen hitting rocks and sticks around the fire so the guys and girls can get together, and magic happens. That's what music was built for."

Meanwhile, the 31-year-old singer previously revealed he hopes he will be remembered for his music and not for any "scandals or controversy".

Asked how he wants to be remembered, he shared: "I hope that my music does the talking. I just wanna do music. It could be boring for people this day and age, but I don't wanna be known for no scandals or controversy. I want to be the guy that brings joy to your life through his music. That's it."

And Bruno feels the failures he has faced in the past have made him who he is.

He explained: "[Those days] sucked, but in a beautiful way. Without getting dropped, I might not be here. All of these things you have to go through. It ain't easy. If it was easy everyone would be doing it.

"The worst absolute moment was telling everybody I got dropped. I'm broke. I'm in debt. Walking into a room saying, 'Yeah, I'm a signed Motown artist,' then walking in and saying, 'I'm a dropped Motown artist.' But I'm not blaming anybody over there.

"Sylvia Rhone gave me a deal and the timing wasn't right. I had to go through this journey. I had to meet Jeff [Bhasker] and beg him to come play at Pickwick's Pub on Ventura with me. I had to sing these songs and gig. I was 20-years-old. I wasn't even supposed to be in these places probably."

Pace Wu and her billionaire boyfriend Ji Xiaobo may have yet to officially walk down the aisle but has become the envy of many with her seemingly perfect family life. The 38-year-old has bowed out of the spotlight after having her children, but has kept her fans updated on the goings-on in her life through regular social media updates.

On Monday, she updated her Instagram account with a snap of a birthday cake with the caption, “Thank you Jess for giving Hans such an adorable cake. However, Pace often covers her children’s faces with a sticker before posting their snaps on Instagram, seemingly to protect her children from the spotlight. This comes after she was once blasted by netizens for her ignorant behaviour as a mother.

Ricky Martin engaged

Ricky Martin is engaged.

The 44-year-old singer proposed to Jwan Yosef - who he has been dating for over a year - but he was so nervous about popping the question, he messed up what he wanted to say and didn't even take in his partner's response.

He told talk show host Ellen DeGeneres: "I proposed. I was really nervous, but I got on my knees and I took out the little metal box I just had it in a little velvet pouch and instead of saying 'Will you marry me'... I said, 'I got you something!' Bad.

"And then he was like, 'Yes.' I said, 'I want to spend my life with you' and he was like, 'What is the question?' 'Would you marry me?' That's it.

"Yeah it was very beautiful and then you know it was very beautiful. And then thirty minutes after I said, 'Did you say yes?' Yes. He said 'Yes.' "

Two people who are thrilled by the news are the 'Livin' La Vida Loca' hitmaker's eight-year-old twin sons, Matteo and Valentino, because they adore Jwan.

Ricky said: "They love each other. It's perfect, Ellen. It's been really special."
The singer fell for 32-year-old Jwan when he was buying some new artwork.
He gushed: "He's a conceptual artist and I'm a collector. I started looking for art and I saw his art and I went crazy because I really love what he does. Really original. And then I contacted him."

Records show no fight reported between Brad Pitt and son on flight

Air Traffic Control have no record of a mid-air fight breaking out between Brad Pitt and his son Maddox on board their private jet on September 14.

The 52-year-old actor was accused of child abuse - allegations of which he's now been cleared after the Los Angeles County Department Of Children And Family Service received insufficient evidence - after a member of the cabin crew reported him for allegedly lunging and striking the 15 year old while under the influence of alcohol.

But, according to records obtained by RadarOnline.com, the Minneapolis Air Route Traffic Control Center only documented the family had experienced a turbulent flight.

However, staff had claimed at the time that the 'Allied' star had locked horns with Maddox after he tried to verbally defend his mother Angelina Jolie, who adopted him in 2002, during an argument as the family flew home to Los Angeles from Paris.
And the on board crew weren't the only ones to file a report as airport workers also claimed they could hear the father-and-son in a heated exchange before they took off.

However, law enforcement officers spent weeks gathering evidence from the plane and carrying out extensive interviews with Maddox, Angelina and Brad, but decided to close the case last week as they didn't think the actor was guilty of the crime.

It was initially thought the incident between Brad and Maddox contributed to Angelina's decision to file for divorce two days later following two years of marriage.
The 41-year-old actress asked for sole physical custody of their kids Maddox, Pax, 12, Zahara, 11, Shiloh, 10, and eight-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne in her filing.

However, Brad is determined to get joint custody and it seems, at present, the Californian courts are in his favour, especially now that he's cleared of child abuse.

But, until they reach an agreement, the children will remain in Angelina's care and Brad will have "therapeutic visits."

A statement said recently: "The six children will stay in their mother's custody, and the children will continue therapeutic visits with their father. This has been determined by childcare professionals to be in the children's best interest."

Hannah Quinlivan accused of being two-faced

Hannah Quinlivan quickly shot to fame after becoming Mrs. Jay Chou, especially with the birth of her firstborn, Hathaway. Soon after her fairytale wedding and giving birth, she was flooded with endorsement and appearance requests, especially because of her wholesome and positive image with the public.

However, someone has stepped forward claiming that he witnessed Hannah behaving like a diva, contrary to her goody-two-shoes image at a photoshoot in March. The shoot revolved around children’s toys and the 23-year-old was alleged to have demanded staff members to feed her because she had a mask on. This was despite her hands being empty at the time.

Before filming started, she is further said to have woken the sleeping baby, who was to be part of the advertorial, causing him to cry uncontrollably. Ultimately, filming had to be delayed because they had to calm the child down. Other staff members defended Hannah, “(She) probably wanted to play with the child and didn’t do it on purpose.”

The source also alleged that the seemingly sweet-looking Hannah is in fact extremely two-faced. He went on to claim that Hannah has no regard for rookie photographers and does not hesitate in rolling her eyes at them. In comparison, she turns on her mega-watt smile if the photographer is experienced or has good credentials to his name.

Hannah’s manager quickly refuted the rumours, “What’s this all about? It’s impossible!” He also maintained that Hannah is respectful to all staff members and has never bullied newbies on the job.

Ethan Ruan’s former manager denies getting hit by actor

Ethan Ruan and Tiffany Hsu surprised many when they ended their eight-year relationship last March. He was rumoured to have cheated on her with married female celebrity H, with internet sleuths alleging that it was Bai Baihe who came between the pair. Baihe’s manager denied the rumours.

News of their breakup was confirmed after Tiffany moved out of their apartment. This came despite Ethan’s declaration that “Tiffany Hsu is still my woman”. In response, she mused, “Training myself to grow on my own… Living my own life (and) concentrating on my career.” Ethan and Tiffany were later said to have reconciled but the former couple has yet to make an official announcement.

More than a year after their breakup, reports have surfaced that Ethan hit his longtime manager in a fit of anger soon after the breakup. The 34-year-old is said to have been in low spirits following the split and put all his effort into finding a way to win Tiffany back.

His longtime manager and friend, Ah Jun, tried to snap him out of his funk and advised him to concentrate on his acting to change Tiffany’s mind. In response, Ethan is said to have shouted, “What do you know?!” before grabbing his manager’s shirt and throwing a punch. After this purported incident, Ah Jun is said to have resigned.

In response, Ah Jun denied getting hit by Ethan and clarified, “I resigned because I wanted to pursue a career behind-the-scenes.”

David Beckham and his dad have matching tattoos

David Beckham and his father have matching tattoos.

The 41-year-old former England soccer star has multiple etchings all over his body, and has revealed the story behind a few of them in a new commercial for his new collaboration with skincare brand Biotherm Homme.

Explaining the tattoo of a ship he has etched just below his armpit on his torso, the star said: "The ship. My father has exactly the same tattoo."

And that's not the only tattoo David has to remind him of his family, as he has a number of inkings dedicated to his children - Brooklyn, 17, Romeo, 14, Cruz, 11, and Harper, five.

Speaking about the word 'Buster' he has tattooed on his neck, David said: "My first son, I've always called him buster."

On his torso, David has the words "we love you daddy", written in his children's handwriting.

He said: "My children actually wrote the words 'we love you daddy'."

David also explained the meaning behind the tattoo on the palm of his hand, which is based on a drawing done by his daughter Harper.

He explained: "I was watching Harper draw one day, and I thought 'I'm gonna have it tattooed on me.'"

The star - who is married to Victoria Beckham - previously debuted the tattoo on Instagram in October.

The caption at the time read: "Apparently Harper is allowed to scribble on daddy (sic)"

And David closed the commercial by explaining that his story is "written on [his] skin".

He said in the video: "The story of my life is written on my skin. Don't expect to read it on my face.

Anna Kendrick is crying less each day

Anna Kendrick has been "crying a little less each day" after the results of the US presidential election earlier this month.

The 31-year-old actress has revealed she measures how well she is coping with the result of the election - which saw controversial Republican candidate Donald Trump beat Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton to the White House - by measuring how long she has spent in tears, and that telling people about it makes them feel "uncomfortable".

Speaking on 'The Late Show with Stephen Colbert' on Tuesday (15.11.16), the 'Pitch Perfect' star said: "I've been measuring my progress in like, I've been crying a little less each day, which is good. And I know maybe that makes people feel uncomfortable, but you've seen me cry in movies, it's nothing new, it's fine.

"But I've been going from laughing to crying and from crying to laughing a lot, so everything's kind of mixed up a little."

And the 'Mr. Right' actress joked that she needed "a man president" when she struggled to open a bottle, but the thought then made her start crying.

She added: "I was trying to open a bottle, I couldn't get a bottle open this morning and I had this thought like 'I guess I really do need a man president' and I kind of laughed to myself, and then started crying, and then laughed."

The brunette beauty isn't sure if her family will celebrate Thanksgiving (24.11.16) this year, as she says she has "one rogue uncle" who may have voted for Donald and could cause tension at the dinner table.

She said: "We've got one rogue uncle. I feel like every family has that one guy where you're like 'What did you do? What did you do?' Yeah, it's going to be interesting."
The news comes after Anna previously tweeted about how she felt like she was in "a nightmare" in the wake of the election result.

She wrote at the time: "Woke up feeling like I'd had a nightmare. Then started crying again. Mantra: I am not alone, we are not alone."

Jackie Chan wins Honourary Oscar after 56 years

Hong Kong martial arts actor Jackie Chan received the Honourary Oscar award at the Governors awards on Saturday night, from the Academy of Motion Pictures and Sciences, making him the first Chinese actor to do so.

The slapstick comedy and action film director never did expect himself to receive an Oscar initially, because the genre of his films were not considered mainstream projects. However, that changed when Jackie saw good friend Hollywood actor Sylvester Stallone’s gold statuette in his house 23 years ago, “I touched it, kissed it, smelt it, I believe it still has my finger prints. Then I thought to myself, I really want one”.

Finally, after 56 years in the film industry, acting in more than 200 movies and breaking “so many bones”, the 62 year-old achieved his dream of receiving an Oscar award and said, “Finally, this is mine”.

At the awards ceremony, the stuntman turned actor was introduced by Chris Tucker, his Rush Hour co-star who in turn thanked Jackie for “blessing me with global notoriety”, Chinese-Malaysian actress Michelle Yeoh and American Hollywood actor Tom Hanks, who referred to him as “Jackie Chantastic Chan.”

Jackie continued to thank his fans for giving him the drive to continue making films, and Hong Kong, for making him feel proud to be Chinese.

The awards ceremony was also attended by a bevy of Hollywood and international celebrities such as Ryan Reynolds, Emma Stone, Nicole Kidman and Taiwanese singer Wang Leehom, who congratulated Jackie while taking a picture together.

Jackie’s recent movie Skiptrace co-star Fan Bing Bing, also sent him a congratulatory message on her Weibo, “Congratulations big brother! It’s been a difficult 56 years, but your determination has paid off, this awards belongs to you! We will always be proud of you!”

Cyndi Wang, Yao Yuanhao spotted on a rare date

Cyndi Wang and Yao Yuanhao have been dating for almost four years, with some saying that the pair acts like an old married couple after being together for so long.

Earlier this year, reports of her family objecting to them getting married surfaced and Cyndi’s manager later clarified that the couple does not have marriage in mind yet.

Despite these rumours, the couple’s relationship is still going strong but has been spending less time together due to their busy schedules. Last weekend, they were spotted on a rare date out together in one of Yuanhao’s antique cars. What surprised many was that Cyndi was in the car, as the singer reportedly avoids taking her beau’s antique cars whenever she can.

Her hesitance at riding in his cars is attributed to the lack of tinted windows in his antique cars, reportedly causing her to feel uncomfortable when she has to have eye contact with fellow motorists while waiting at traffic lights. Cyndi is said to have a habit of meeting Yuanhao at their destinations instead of waiting for him to pick her up if he chooses to drive one of his antique cars on their dates.

This time, however, she agreed to take his car because they haven’t had the chance to meet in a long time. The couple looked to be in good spirits and Cyndi even waved to the camera when she realised that there were photographers following them on their date.

Yuanhao is said to be an avid fan of antique cars and has a collection worth NT$18 million (approximately S$700,000) which includes a Ferrari and Volkswagen Beetle.
