Nick Grimshaw in twerking world record delight and disaster

Nick Grimshaw set a twerking world record this morning (30.09.14) - only to have it cruelly taken away from him by a fellow Radio 1 presenter minutes later.

The 30-year-old star broke the Guinness World Record for the longest duration of twerking after putting his tush to the test for an hour, but shortly after it was confirmed live on air that he had set a new record it was revealed his pal Greg James had carried on twerking to set an even newer record.

Following the realisation that Nick's minutes-old record had been beaten on his Radio 1 breakfast show, he admitted he had simply assumed Greg was only twerking alongside him to show his support.

He quipped: ''People think it's a joke but it's really horrible. I've been having twerking lessons for this.

''I thought that's so nice that he's supporting me. You know this is my dream, Greg? It's my lifelong dream. ''

A smug Greg replied: ''I know, that's why revenge is sweet.''

Nick also took to his Twitter account to reveal his disappointment at losing out to Greg just minutes after setting the record.

He wrote: ''YAY I'M A WORLD RECORD HOLDER!!!! Oh no....wait....damn @gregjames and his ass. (sic)''

The twerking attempt was very much official as a Guinness World Records adjudicator in the studio confirmed Nick had set a new record.

A post on the organisation's official Twitter account even congratulated Nick on his achievement and posted pictures of him with his certificate.

The message read: ''A new Guinness World Records title - longest duration twerking for @grimmers on @R1Breakfast! #GrimmyTwerks (sic)''

But shortly afterwards another post on the account revealed Greg had set a new record.

It wrote: ''A surprise twerk-off this morning on @BBCR1 as @gregjames breaks @grimmers record minutes after it was set (sic)''

Keira Knightley unconcerned about turning 30

Keira Knightley is not worried about turning 30.

The 29-year-old actress - who is best known for starring in the 'Pirates of the Caribbean' films - said she didn't enjoy herself during her early 20s because she was consumed by uncertainties, but admits she's been on an upward curve ever since she turned 25.

Keira told Glamour magazine: ''I'm not actually worried about turning 30. Because, honestly, my early twenties were not much fun. Then after 25, things just got better and better.

''Maybe you stop caring as much about where you should be going and what other people think - which is all the s**t that makes you very unhappy early on.''

Keira also admitted she is very happily married to Klaxons rocker James Wrighton, 31, saying she made the right decision to tie the knot in the south of France in May 2013.

She explained: ''It was a bloody good day and a lot of fun. And yes, being married feels pretty good.

''You only get to choose one member of your family and I made a good choice. So well done, me!''

However, Keira - who appeared in 'Begin Again', alongside Mark Ruffalo, Adam Levine and James Corden, earlier this year - says married life has not led to her maturing.

She said: ''I reached my peak of grown-up behaviour at 20 and 21, and it's been downhill since then.

''I was terribly sensible as a teenager but I've got far less so as I've grown up, which has been a huge relief for everyone - including my parents.''

Karen Mok to take a three-month break

Hong Kong actress-singer Karen Mok has announced at her post-concert party last Saturday (Sept 27) that she will be taking a three-month break to go on a vacation with her German husband Johannes Natterer.

The couple, who wedded in 2011, have been spending little time together due to work commitments. This time, they forced each other to take a break and will travel to 10 countries in detail, instead of a hurried trip “around the world in 80 days”.

The 44-year-old, who will not control her diet on the trip, said, “My husband likes mountain-climbing and outdoor activities and I’m ready to do so with him.”

However, babies “are not on the cards” for Karen as she feels that a child may hinder the quality time between a couple.

Responding to her revealing outfit at the concert, she laughed and shared that Johannes does not mind. “He will select sexy lingerie for me but I won’t wear it for him, I wear it on stage for everyone to see.”

Girls’ Generation’s Jessica to leave group?

Girls Generations Jessica dropped a bomb on fans in the wee hours of the morning, declaring in both Korean and English that she will be leaving the girl group.

In her blog post, she mused, "I was excited about our upcoming fan events only to shockingly be informed by my company and 8 others that as of today, I'm no longer a member. I'm devastated - my priority and love is to serve as a member of GG, but for no justifiable reason, I am being forced out."

About half an hour later, she added a comment on her original post, sharing, "You guys are very special people that I love dearly, therefore you deserve to hear the truth from me. I'm deeply saddened and hurt by those who I trusted and hope that you don't ever have to experience this kind of pain."

Questions over the legitimacy of the post have been raised given recent reports that all nine members extended their contracts with their label, S.M. Entertainment.

The company has yet to issue a statement while fans have voiced their hopes that Jessica has merely been hacked and will continue to remain in the group. 

The remaining eight members of Girls' Generation were spotted at Incheon Airport leaving for Shenzhen, China for the Girls' Generation 1st FANS PARTY Mr.Mr. in Shenzhen. Her absence at the airport has raised further questions on her future with the group.

12.45PM UPDATE: SM Entertainment has confirmed Jessica’s departure from the group. In their official statement, they declared that the conflict of interest between her fashion brand, BLANC, and the group’s official activities have led to her decreased amount of participation with Girls’ Generation. As such, she will be withdrawing from the group as the label stated that she is unable to keep up with the rest of the members.

As a closing statement, they urged fans to continue supporting Girls’ Generation as an eight-member group in the future and that they will support Jessica in her personal activities.

Irene Wan admits to “micro plastic surgery”

Hong Kong actress Irene Wan admitted to undergoing “micro plastic surgery” as age has took a toll on her appearance. The 48-year-old who was formerly known as a beauty queen relied on yoga and workouts to maintain her good looks when she was younger.

Irene shared, “Actually, everyone is pursuing beauty. Injections are common nowadays and they are mainly to retain moisture and increase collagen growth. I don’t mind as long as the condition of my skin can improve.”

She feels it is “too exaggerated to call it ‘going under the knife’, it should be called ‘micro plastic surgery’ where one’s skin becomes firmer through advanced technology.” But she added that the most effective method to stay young is through drinking soup and exercising.

Irene had previously mentioned in 2011 that she was afraid of needles but this time she felt the need for the treatment and realised how easy the injections were after the treatments.

The actress, who is slated to film a movie soon, shot to fame when she went nude at a tender age of 17 but has since faded out of showbiz after marriage. As to whether her businessman husband praised her beauty, she responded sweetly, “He says I look gorgeous even without the injections.”

Dakota Fanning is ''super happy'' in her relationship.

The 20-year-old actress - who has been dating British model Jamie Strachan, 33 for over a year - has revealed she has no problem with the 13-year age gap.

When quizzed about her relationship, she told The Times newspaper: ''I'm super-happy. I think love is very important and it's really fun to have someone to experience things with. It makes everything a bit more special.

''People love who they love and you go with that. People get so stuck in rules for life. You go with what feels right.''

Meanwhile, the 'Twilight' star has hit back at those who criticise how she looks in paparazzi photos, explaining that their comments have ''no bearing'' on how she feels.

She said: ''I don't have any feelings about it. That holds no bearing on how I feel about myself at all.

George Clooney's stag night

George Clooney's stag night involved two bottles of tequila and a £250 bottle of red wine.

The 53-year-old actor dined with friends at pricey Da Ivo on Friday night (26.09.14), ahead of his marriage to human rights lawyer, Amal Alamuddin, 36.

The restaurant's staff said George and his six guests drank two bottles of Casamigos, his own-brand tequila, before enjoying a third of a magnum of Sassicaia, a Tuscan red wine which is worth £250 a bottle.

George and his guests ate a dinner of stuffed courgette flowers, pasta with truffles before tucking into figs, crab and lobster.

The restaurant's chef Luciana Gambardella told The Independent on Sunday newspaper: ''He's a wonderful person. And [what] moved me the most was how he made a point of going up to every person working in the restaurant to thank them after the meal.''

The wedding - which took place at the luxurious Aman Canal Grande resort in Venice, Italy on Saturday (28.09.14) - was attended by a whole host of celebrity guests including U2 singer Bono and his wife Ali Hewson, Matt Damon and his wife Luciana, Cindy Crawford and her husband Rande Gerber, Emily Blunt and Bill Murray.

Selina Jen wants another wedding in 2021

S.H.E member Selina Jen was badly injured after an accidental explosion on-set while filming musical drama I Have a Date with Spring in 2010. She then wedded her husband, Richard Chang, in 2011 “without recovering fully”.

Selina was “unable to stand for long during the ceremony and the skin on my legs were hard and taut, I was not able to enjoy myself”. She also shared that their honeymoon to Bali last year was not as relaxing, as it was in the midst of Richard’s busy work schedule.

The 33-year-old hopes to hold another ceremony in 2021 – her 10th wedding anniversary – to make up for the loss.

The singer felt blessed that Richard, whom she had been dating for three years, did not forsake her after the incident and even told her he was “afraid to lose her”. The incident had strengthened their love and trust for each other.

The couple have plans to start a family after Selina completes her latest album at the end of the year.

In addition, Chinese actor Yu Haoming, who was also wounded in the explosion, remains psychologically scarred. He even reportedly confessed to “not having a sex life for four years since the explosion” after a bout of drinking even though he was seen in steamy scenes female co-star Sookie Pan in Chinese drama The Loving Home.

Haoming’s father was furious and accused the staff of the drama, whom the actor was drinking with, that they were “making up stories”.

Anthony Neely is married with a 3-year-old daughter

At around 11pm last night, Taiwanese singer Anthony Neely uploaded a three-minute long video on Facebook to reveal the truth that he has been married for four years and that he has a three-year-old daughter.

Photos of Anthony and his daughter were also shown in the clip. “I love you so much. It’s been tough on you all these years. I just want you to be happy,” he said, addressing his wife.

“[I hid the truth] because I love my wife, and I’m exposing it now because I love her. I don’t want her to suffer in silence anymore. And because I love my daughter, I no longer wish to explain why I can’t bring her to the park,” added the singer.

In a shout-out to his fans, Anthony said that the “wall” between his supporters and himself can finally be broken with this confession.

Teary-eyed, Anthony wished his daughter, who turned three yesterday, “Happy Birthday” in English and hoped for everyone’s blessings. His revelation is also believed to be a gift for the child.

When Anthony debuted in 2010, he was rumoured to be dating a nurse named Vivi and in the following year, he denied reports stating that he was married with a kid. After releasing his album last year, the 28-year-old admitted that he has been “seeing someone” for four years but kept his marital status under wraps.

80 people guard Faye Wong from media

Chinese diva Faye Wong has been under wide media attention following her rumoured reconciliation with Hong Kong actor Nicholas Tse last week. She was in Taiwan to film an advertisement yesterday where 40 crew members were mobilised to guard her from the media initially.

When the 45-year-old arrived at the farm in Hualien in the morning, members of the media swarmed the venue and another 40 crew members were added to keep journalists at bay. There were barricades at the location and security guards were deployed to ensure Faye’s safety.

Despite the strict set-up, some journalists managed to catch a glimpse of the singer, who was dressed in a white shirt showing off her slender legs. Faye was seen touching her tummy occasionally, further highlighting her pregnancy rumours even though her manager had denied it previously.

The shoot took four hours, after which Faye retired to the hotel without having lunch.

In addition, it was reported that even workers of the farm were restricted from entering the premises during the shoot, causing much unhappiness and inconvenience.

One Direction Star Liam Payne Responds To Alleged Nude Photo Leak, Gay Rumors

People love to speculate about the sexuality of the members of boy band One Direction -- and a recent nude photo leak seems to have fed rumors.

Last week a photo that made the rounds on Twitter allegedly showed Liam Payne naked. In response, Payne denied the photo is him and also took the opportunity to address gay rumors that have circulated about him.

Payne landed himself in hot water earlier this year when he tweeted out a statement of support for Phil Robertson following the anti-gay "Duck Dynasty" star's infamous GQ profile. 

Last week, Niall Horan, another One Direction star, responded to gay rumors of his own when a Vine video allegedly showing him kissing a male friend went viral.

Jason Orange quits Take That

Jason Orange has announced he has quit Take That.

The 44-year-old singer has revealed that he informed his bandmates - Gary Barlow, Howard Donald and Mark Owen - of his decision last week and they are now planning to continue as a trio.

In a lengthy statement on the group's official website tonight (24.09.14), Jason said: ''I want to start by saying how proud I am of what we have achieved together over the years.

''However, at a band meeting last week I confirmed to Mark, Gary and Howard that I do not wish to commit to recording and promoting a new album.''

He added: ''At the end of The Progress Tour I began to question whether it might be the right time for me to not continue on with Take That.

''At the start of this year and with my full knowledge and blessing the guys began writing new material.

''There have been no fallings out, only a decision on my part that I no longer wish to do this.''

The 'Patience' hitmaker added: ''I know how much Mark, Gary and Howard enjoy writing and making music, and they know that they have my full support and encouragement to continue on with what is to be another chapter for the band. Thank you.''

The remaining members admitted they are devastated by Jason's departure.

In a joint statement, Howard, Gary and Mark said: ''This is a sad day for us. Jason leaving is a huge loss both professionally and even more so personally. We first became aware of Jason's reservations a couple of years ago but had hoped that by giving him the desired time and space he may begin to feel differently.

''This has not been the case and we now have to accept and fully respect his decision which we know hasn't been an easy one. Jason's energy and belief in what this band could achieve has made it what it is today, and we'll forever be grateful for his enthusiasm, dedication and inspiration over the years.''

Former member Robbie Williams left the group in 1995.

Super Junior’s Sungmin admits to dating musical co-star

Super Junior’s Sungmin became the latest Korean idol to hop on the dating bandwagon as he confirmed that he is currently dating his musical co-star, Kim Sa Eun. The couple met while working on the musical The Three Musketeers.

The musical has had several successful runs, with fellow member Kyuhyun being involved prior to Sungmin’s inclusion.

Korean news agency TV Report released the news in which SM Entertainment declared that the two are in the early stages of their relationship. The musical ended its run earlier this year.

Rumours of the two being in a romantic relationship surfaced after they were seen catching the musical Priscilla together. Numerous couple items such as rings, bracelets and jackets also led to rising suspicion that the two were more than friends.

Jay Chou did not go for wedding photoshoot

Wedding details for Mandopop superstar Jay Chou and rumoured girlfriend Hannah Quinlivan have been garnering wide media attention ever since the singer promised to get married by next January.

Recently, Jay was said to have gone for a wedding photoshoot in Shanghai, and offered the studio a lump sum of RMB$2 million (approximately S$410,000) to promote the photos.

Employees of the studio had previously claimed that the 35-year-old approached them first and offered them the money but these rumours have been refuted by his manager. His record label, JVR Music, will not hesitate to take legal actions if necessary, they said.

“Our company did not, and will not, offer any money to wedding photo studios to promote Jay Chou’s wedding. We will take legal actions against the false statements in news reports by employees of the studio,” said JVR Music in an official statement released to the media.

It is believed that Jay intends to hold his wedding by the sea but he will focus on album preparations first as it “cannot drag on further”. Although he also added that the wedding “cannot drag on further” as well, Hannah revealed that he has yet to propose.

Is Fahrenheit’s Jiro Wang angry with Aaron Yan?

Taiwanese singer Aaron Yan recently revealed in an interview that he is “no longer friends” with former Fahrenheit members Jiro Wang and Calvin Chen, and only kept in touch with Wu Chun.

Following that, Jiro uploaded a topless photo of himself on Instagram with the word “anger” over his face with the caption: “My current mood! Anger!”

Although the actor-singer did not state the reason, netizens suspect he was responding to Aaron’s statement. Fans left encouraging comments for him to stay strong for his dreams.

Aaron’s revelation sparked heated arguments among Fahrenheit fans as they felt he was trying to draw the line between himself and the other three members.

He clarified on Facebook last Saturday (Sept 20): “Will you continue banging on a wall after getting hurt from knocking on it for years? All emotional ties, including family, romance, friendship or even relationships with your pets, need to be managed and maintained. Leonardo DiCaprio joins Instagram

Leonardo DiCaprio has joined Instagram.

The 'Wolf of Wall Street' actor joined the social networking site earlier today (23.09.14) and set about filling his timeline with pictures from the United Nations General Assembly on climate in New York City.

Leonardo - who was named a United Nations Messenger of Peace last week - wrote: ''This seems like the perfect setting to join Instagram and share this view from the UN General Assembly. What a great honor this is. #Climate2014 (sic)''

The 39-year-old star also posted a picture of himself looking dapper in a suit alongside UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon, who appointed him UN Messenger of Peace last week.

In a caption attached to the image, he wrote: ''Today, I have the privilege to speak at the United Nations #Climate2014 Summit where world leaders are expected to announce the bold steps they will take to tackle climate change. Thank you Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon. (sic)''

Just two hours after posting his first Instagram picture Leonardo had already amassed more than 12,000 followers, but he was following just four people in return.

The star described himself as an actor and environmentalist in his bio on the social networking site.

Leonardo has amassed 11.1 million Twitter followers since joining the social network in April 2010.

Bruce Jenner buys race car

Bruce Jenner has splashed out $50,000 on a race car.

The 'Keeping Up with the Kardashians' star - whose estranged wife Kris Jenner filed for divorce yesterday (22.09.14) - is a keen racing fan and made an ''impulse purchase'' from NASCAR star Robby Gordon at the Sand Sports Super Show in Orange County yesterday.

According to website TMZ, the former Olympian plans to debut his new vehicle at the Griffin King of the Hammers race in Johnson Valley, California, in February with his sons Burt and Brandon.

As well as purchasing the car yesterday, Bruce was also busy filing his response to Kris's divorce petition, which he submitted just a few hours after the showbiz matriarch entered in her legal documents.

Bruce asked a judge to agree to the same terms set out by Kris, including that they have joint physical and legal custody of their youngest daughter Kylie, 17.

Like, Kris, Bruce asked for his own ''jewellery and other personal effects,'' and ''earnings and accumulations...from and after the date of separation''.

According to RadarOnline.com, Bruce doesn't want to pay spousal support, which is also in line with Kris' petition, which asked the judge to bar the court from awarding spousal support.

The couple announced they had split last October, but the court documents state they separated on June 1 2013.

Annie Yi banned by Chinese broadcaster

Taiwanese artiste Annie Yi has reportedly been blacklisted by Chinese broadcasters, following her show of support for the Southern Weekly incident, a conflict between the newspaper and Propaganda Department of Guangdong Province regarding press freedom last year.

Last Saturday, an episode of Chinese variety show Happy Camp, which was supposed to feature Chinese actor Qin Han’s proposal to Annie, was allegedly banned from airing. Previously, the singer-actress’ parts in China's Got Talent were edited out after she was dropped from the programme last year.

Responding to queries on Happy Camp, Hunan TV explained in a Weibo post that the broadcast of a programme is dependent on the channel’s schedule. Although the statement dismissed rumours that Happy Camp has ended its run, it did not make any mention of Annie’s role in the station’s decision to cancel the broadcast.

Unaware that the programme did not air on Saturday night, Qin Han wrote on Weibo: “Having fried chicken with beer. It’s a pity that I can’t watch Happy Camp in Korea.”

Shortly after, Annie replied to the post: “I can’t watch [the show] in Taipei too. Let’s watch it together when you are back, Qin oppa.” However, the singer-actress was found to have deleted her comment after learning that the programme was not aired.

Nicholas Tse still believes in fairy-tale romance

In a recent interview, Hong Kong celebrity Nicholas Tse, who recently reunited with Chinese diva Faye Wong after 11 years, said that he still “believes in and seeks love”. The 34-year-old also expressed his wish for his lover to be his life companion. “I am the kind of person who believes in fairy-tale romances,” he added.

After news of the reconciliation broke, Nicholas attended events in Beijing and Sichuan, but did not comment on his relationship status. However, the singer-actor’s appearance at the 64th anniversary celebration of Beijing Bureau of Radio, Film and Television was cancelled yesterday, as the organiser was concerned that media attention would be diverted.

According to Hong Kong media reports, the songstress is believed to have purchased new furniture for her Beijing apartment, where she was photographed behaving intimately with Nicholas, during her recent shopping trip to IKEA.

While speaking at an interview last week, Faye hinted that her life is “pretty good” at the moment. “There’s nothing particularly upsetting. The ideal situation is to live without regrets of the past or worry for the future,” she said.

Paul McCartney raps for meat-free Mondays

Sir Paul McCartney has recorded a rap song to encourage people to go vegetarian.

The Beatles frontman enlisted the help of his famous friends, Joanna Lumley, Twiggy, Sharleen Spiteri and Woody Harrelson to shoot a video of him rapping to promote a Meat-Free Mondays campaign in an attempt to get people all over the world to make their diet flesh-free once a week.

In the video, which was posted on YouTube, he says: ''I need your help, all I want you to do is just log in on pledge.meatfreemondays.com and pledge your support to the idea of meat-free Mondays.

''Please do it. We'll send all these pledges to the politicians, and then they'll do something about it.''

The 72-year-old star's musical appeal to ditch meaty treats sees him holding up signs emblazoned with the message ''Meat-Free Monday'' and he gets very animated by clicking his fingers as well as clapping his hands throughout.

TV and radio presenter Fearne Cotton and Paul's daughters, designer Stella McCartney and Mary also make an appearance in the music video.

More than 843,000 people - including famous faces such as Gwyneth Paltrow, Mark Ruffalo, Kevin Spacey and Ricky Gervais - have signed up to the pledge.

Paul's plea comes ahead of the United Nations climate summit tomorrow (23.09.14) in New York.

UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon is gathering together global leaders - the first time Heads of State will have come together to discuss climate change since Copenhagen in 2009.

The summit is being held to jump-start the climate negotiations that are due to conclude with an ambitious global treaty in December 2015.

Jolin Tsai’s new song leaked

Taiwanese singer Jolin Tsai planned to release her new album this November, but her new song ‘Phone Star’ was leaked online recently.

Despite keeping production and recording under wraps, her new image for the album as well as music video set was leaked last week. That was followed by full and high-definition soundtracks of ‘Phone Star’ which were available for listen and download.

The culprit who disclosed the images was found to be the assistant designer of the company appointed to film the MV and has since been fired.

Jolin, who was in New York when the news broke, was helpless and at her second leak after the first – her new song title – last month. But her manager and record label, Warner Music, dismissed the possibility of it being done by the same person.

As promotional activities have yet to begin, her manager was evidently frustrated and said, “We are really angry and upset as we have been preparing for this (album) for a while and wanted to give everyone a surprise. With the infiltration of the Internet, it is easy for such incidents to happen. For future releases, we will increase protective measures to prevent similar cases from occurring.”

Currently investigating the matter, Warner Music have requested netizens to take down the song and will take legal action if need be.

Fahrenheit’s Aaron Yan no longer in contact with Jiro Wang and Calvin Chen

Taiwanese singer-actor Aaron Yan revealed in a recent interview that he only keeps in touch with former Fahrenheit groupmate Wu Chun these days because the latter truly treats him as a buddy, and that he is “no longer friends” with Jiro Wang and Calvin Chen, reported Taiwanese media.

During the interview, Aaron also exposed the real reason behind Fahrenheit’s split in 2011. The 27-year-old allegedly claimed that Jiro and Wu Chun’s “fight” to be the group’s leader caused internal conflict which eventually led to the latter’s departure.

Back then, Wu Chun was touted as the most outstanding member in terms of looks and popularity, a situation which made Aaron feel sidelined. As the youngest member in the group, the Fall in Love with Me star felt neglected when his bandmates expressed their wish to shed the “idol image”.

“Did they consider my feelings? Did they think about how am I going to survive [in the industry]?” Aaron cried.

Shocked by his revelations, some fans harshly criticised the singer-actor for his comments. On Sep 22, the heartthrob addressed the controversy with a Facebook post.

He wrote: “Will you continue banging on a wall after getting hurt from knocking on it for years? All emotional ties, including family, romance, friendship or even relationships with your pets, need to be managed and maintained. If you are the only one taking initiative, it would be like banging on a wall.”

His post left die-hard Fahrenheit fans disappointed, with some slamming him for playing victim. “I wasn’t trying to point fingers. If I sounded like I was, that is your own interpretation. Don’t take my words out of context,” Aaron commented in response.

Hong Kong celebrity Nicholas Tse and Chinese diva Faye Wong have reconciled after breaking up 11 years ago. Nicholas was spotted spending four days with Faye in her Beijing apartment recently and the two behaved intimately, showering each other with hugs and kisses.

Nicholas, who is currently hosting cook show 12 ‘Feng’ Taste, specially cooked for Faye and they were photographed kissing each other at the balcony.

Jessica Brown Findlay's ex-boyfriend feels ''really sorry'' for her after intimate footage and photos of the actress were published online.

The former 'Downton Abbey' actress was one of a number of celebrities who had their Apple iCloud accounts hacked earlier this month, and her former partner Thomas Campbell - who is not the unnamed man featured in the clips - thinks it is very ''embarrassing'' to have such intimate ''love messages'' made public.

He told The Daily Telegraph newspaper: ''It was a huge invasion of privacy, I feel really sorry for her. The video was nothing to do with me, I haven't even seen it. But I do hope that anybody who sees it understands that grown adults do stuff for them that they don't expect the world to see.

Michael Tse is going to be a dad

Hong Kong actor Michael Tse and his wife Tina will finally welcome a new member to their family next year, after eight years of marriage.

When probed about the good news yesterday, Michael admitted that his wife is in the first trimester of pregnancy, but hopes to remain low-key about it due to Chinese taboos.

“I am a traditional person, so I will not make an official announcement until her condition stabilises,” he added.

According to earlier reports, Tina suffers from fallopian tube obstruction which is a major cause of female infertility. She is also said to have undergone two unsuccessful In Vitro Fertilisation (IVF) procedures previously.

“We let nature take its course. Maybe God thinks that this is the right time to gift me with a child,” said Michael, who has no preferences for the baby’s gender, as long as the child is healthy and well.

In addition, the 47-year-old actor, best known for his role “Laughing Gor” in TVB drama E.U., shared that though Tina currently experiences morning sickness, the symptoms are not too serious. Michael has also been helping out with household chores as he will not let his expectant wife do anything tedious.

“I’d ask my relatives to look after Tina [while I’m away]. I have no choice because I need to earn money to buy milk powder!” exclaimed the veteran artiste, who will be flying to China to film a new movie next month.

Rosamund Kwan denies cancer rumours

Hong Kong actress Rosamund Kwan issued an official statement yesterday to refute rumours that she has been diagnosed with cancer. A Hong Kong magazine previously reported in 1994 that she had been diagnosed with a small tumour in her pituitary gland.

Although her condition is not life-threatening, Rosamund needs to undergo half-yearly check-ups. Last month, her rumoured boyfriend of five years, Chen Tai Ming was spotted accompanying her to the clinic and cancer speculations surfaced online.

The 51-year-old clarified at an event last Tuesday that trip was just for a dental check-up, not her usual body check-up. On Sunday (Sept 14), Chen Shan Shi, manager of several celebrities, helped clear the air on Weibo as well, but to no avail.

Rosamund could not tolerate it anymore and finally issued an official statement in hopes that the public will stop spreading these gossips.

“To all readers and the public, I’m writing this in response to the ongoing cancer rumours by Hong Kong magazine Oriental Sunday and several online media outlets. Those reports are considered slander and I make it clear that those are false. I’m healthy and not down with cancer.

Harlem Yu discharged from hospital

Taiwanese singer-host Harlem Yu has been discharged from hospital after undergoing a heart surgery on Tuesday.

The 53-year-old was in good spirits and spoke to the media in his usual lively self after he was discharged Wednesday afternoon. Harlem shared he underwent a standard surgery to correct his irregular heartbeat and emphasised through his manager that there were no implants in his body. He reportedly requires a month of rest before resuming work.

The entertainer, who will be holding his concert in Singapore on October 3, even wished members of the media the best of health in Taiwanese Hokkien dialect.

His manager added, “Harlem was discharged because the doctor said he could. He will recuperate at home and should be able to resume work early next month, including his concert in Singapore.”

HK actor Cheung Tat-ming looking to invest in more properties

Diagnosed with stage III nasopharyngeal cancer three years ago, Hong Kong actor Cheung Tat-ming stopped all work activities and is now recovering well following chemotherapy treatment. The 50-year-old, who is an avid real estate investor, was recently spotted making house hunting with his family.

According to media reports, Tat-ming’s investments had saved him from financial woes despite his heavy medical bills. As his condition gradually improves, the Justice Sung star is reportedly planning to invest in a new property specially for his two children.

Currently residing at the luxurious Ho Man Tin neighbourhood, Tat-ming was recently seen dropping by a real estate agency. Three days later, the actor brought his wife and kids to check out a lavish apartment located at Waterloo Road Hill.

South Korean boyband EXO members Tao, Sehun and Suho spent the recent Mid-Autumn Festival together on a holiday to Sanya, China. However, their vacation was interrupted by 40 stalker fans who followed them throughout the trip.

Paris Hilton has named her new Pomeranian dog Prince Hilton - and has set the pup up with his own Twitter account.

The 33-year-old star paid $13,000 for the ''micro'' mutt from Betty's Teacup Yorkies earlier this month and she has finally got the pooch home.

Although the adorable snow white dog already had a name, Mr. Amazing, Paris has decided to anoint him Prince Hilton and her fans can see what her canine friend is doing via the social networking site and also on Instagram.

Taiwanese artiste Annie Yi recently declared on Weibo that she will be tying the knot with her boyfriend, Chinese actor Qin Hao who is 10 years her junior, in February.

Qin Hao had successfully proposed to the actress in Turkey on Jul 14.

Annie wrote: “Mr. Qin is a serious man with a huge sense of responsibility. Even though he looks like a player and was once a fan of freedom, I will always remember him saying that he’d rather have a home than to roam.”

The multi-hyphenate also added that Qin Hao’s parents are very nice to her, which is the main reason why she agreed to walk down the aisle again.

In a separate post, Annie refuted rumours stating that she had “forced” her boyfriend to marry her by getting pregnant. “I think this is very unfair to Mr. Qin. Actually, he had already brought up the topic of marriage when we got together,” she reiterated.

Annie divorced from Taiwanese singer-songwriter Harlem Yu in 2009, after nine years of marriage and birth of their son Harry. The 45-year-old has been dating Qin Hao for over a year.

Kim Hyun Joong releases official apology to ex-girlfriend

Yesterday (Sept 15), Hallyu star Kim Hyun Joong released an apology statement on his official homepage and addressed it to his ex-girlfriend “A”, who reported his abusive behaviour to the Korean police last month.

It was reported that the Boys over Flowers star had repeatedly hit “A”, whom he dated for two years, to the point of hospitalisation. In a statement by his agency Keyeast Entertainment, the SS501 leader denied abusing his ex-girlfriend, though he admitted that there was one occasion where he became violent.

To refute his claims, “A” then revealed photos of her injury report as well as disturbing images of the bruises on her shoulder, collarbone, arm and foot.

On Sept 12, Hyun Joong’s lawyer stated that the singer-actor is remorseful about his actions and hopes to settle the case out of court by writing a public apology. On the same day, “A”’s attorney declared that they will submit more evidence of Hyun Joong’s abuse, if he fails to “admit, reflect and apologise” for his mistakes.

In Hyun Joong’s apology statement yesterday, the 28-year-old said that he is ashamed of himself for “committing something that a man should never do”.

He wrote: “Hello, this is Kim Hyun Joong. I am really sorry for inflicting so much mental and physical pain on a person, who had trusted and loved me in the past two years. This incident is entirely my fault and there is no reason for her to be blamed. I apologise to her once again, and I also want to say sorry to her family and friends. Above all else, I hope she will accept my apology and forgive me. With this, I will work hard to become a better and healthier person.”

After the statement was released, “A’s” attorney revealed that Hyun Joong has also called the victim to apologise to her directly. Although “A” has not decided whether to drop the charges, she allegedly does not wish for her ex-beau’s “complete downfall”.

Hannah Quinlivan is ready to tie the knot

At an event yesterday, Hannah Quinlivan sang praises of her beau Jay Chou, complimenting on his sense of humour and attentiveness. Despite her young age of 21, the actress-model is ready to tie the knot as she is “afraid that she might not meet another person who is so good to her”.  

When asked if she would invite her beau’s ex-girlfriend Jolin Tsai to her impending wedding, Hannah replied: “I’m fine with that, but we haven’t discussed about [invitations] yet.” 

As Jay and Hannah are Catholics, the latter also claimed that she is “preserving her chastity” until her big day. Although the multi-hyphenate has yet to propose, both their parents are said to have met for a meal.

In related news, Taiwanese top model Lin Chi-ling was extremely excited to hear about Jay’s wedding plans yesterday. “Hurry and send me the invite! Toss the hand bouquet to me!” she exclaimed.

Kim Hyun Joong Posts Up Official Apology to Ex-Girlfriend

With his lawsuit still ongoing, Kim Hyun Joong posted up an apology.

On September 15, Kim Hyun Joong posted on his official homepage, "Hello, this is Kim Hyun Joong."

"I′m really sorry for giving the person I believed and loved for two years a lot of mental and physical pain," wrote Kim Hyun Joong. "I′m embarrased at myself for doing something that a man should never do."

"Since this incident occured entirely because of my mistakes, there is no reason for her to be blamed," continued the apology. "I want to also say sorry to her family and friends."

Pete Wentz helped doctors deliver his new baby son Saint Lazslo

Pete Wentz helped deliver his new baby.

The 35-year-old rocker insists he wasn't ready when girlfriend Meagan Camper went into labour last month but got very involved in helping bring Saint Lazslo into the world.

He said: ''It was crazy. The doctor was like, 'You're going to help, you're going to deliver this baby.' And I was like, 'Oh my god, I'm not ready.'

''I put on the scrubs and gloves and stuff and did the delivery.

''After the head came out, I was there, you know, and all I could think was, 'Please do not drop this baby.' Newborn babies are super slippery.''

However, Pete - who also has five-year-old son Bronx with ex-wife Ashlee Simpson - surprised himself with how well he coped in the delivery room.

He added in a recent interview with DJ Ryan Seacrest: ''I was sure that I wasn't gonna be able to handle it. And everyone says when it's your kid, you can, and it's different. And really, that is true. Because when I was down there, it was like this amazing, beautiful thing.''

Pete also explained how they chose Saint's name because the baby didn't arrive until after his tour was over/

He said: ''I was really sure we were going to have to cancel a show, or that he was going to show up, and he didn't.

''That's why Saint ended up happening, which will only be a problem, I feel, if he actually became a saint. That would be really weird.''

George Takei had to have a cancer removed from his cheek last week after his doctor detected early signs of skin cancer

George Takei has been fighting skin cancer.

The 77-year-old actor - best known for his role as Hikaru Sulu in sci-fi series 'Star Trek' - has revealed he had a cancer removed from his cheek last week after his doctor detected early signs of the disease.

According to The Sun newspaper, George said: ''I went to my doctor for my physical last week and he detected an early skin cancer here. He cut it out and that's why I'm wearing this.''

The star revealed the news at the Voices on Point charity gala last night (14.09.14), where he wore a bandage on his cheek.

He also joked the reason he was sporting the dressing had nothing to do with his husband Brad Altman.

George - who has been married to Brad since 2008 - quipped: ''Let me assure you, my husband did not knock me out.''

George and Brad also celebrated their sixth wedding anniversary on Sunday after tying the knot at the Democracy Forum of the Japanese American National Museum in Los Angeles.

The pair were believed to be the first same-sex couple to apply for a marriage licence in West Hollywood.

Last month, George admitted that while he and Brad - who he has been with for 27 years - sometimes argue, they always make sure they kiss each other before they go to sleep.

He said: ''We have a pact that we've made. When you're together, you're gonna have differences, you're gonna have quibbles, sometimes arguments.

''But no matter what, every night before we go to bed, we kiss each other. Sometimes it's difficult. Sometimes it's just a perfunctory.''
