Cyndi Wang, Yao Yuanhao call it quits

Fans of Taiwanese couple Cyndi Wang and Yao Yuanhao saw the couple’s split coming after she wrote, “When relationships lack respect, it shows how selfish an individual is,” on her Facebook earlier this month (Feb 16).

News of the pair’s breakup was confirmed by Cyndi’s management agency last Wednesday (Feb 22) and Yuanhao, 34, also shared that he “has no plans for marriage anytime soon” when he was probed about it at a press conference the next day.

Fans have been speculating the reason behind their breakup. According to an insider, their relationship have been on the rocks and they broke up a total of three times during their four-year relationship.

Some think that Cyndi’s mother is to blame as she dislikes the actor for allowing her 34-year-old daughter to go through the turmoil of being a third-party during his breakup with Sonia (fans thought that Cyndi came between their relationship). There are also reports saying that Cyndi’s mother does not think too highly of the actor’s career achievements and does not wish for her daughter to marry him.
Cyndi and Yuanhao have not responded to these reports at press time.

Hawick Lau, Yang Mi 'get intimate' 5 times a day?

Things are looking up for celebrity couple Hawick Lau and Yang Mi, after they went through a rough patch last year when the actor was accused of cheating on his wife with his drama co-star, Angel Wang (also known as Wang Ou).

Fans have recently shared a footage from a variety show episode where the actor confessed that he ‘gets intimate’ with his wife up to five times a day. According to Hawick, the term “intimate” meant doing simple, romantic gestures for his wife.

He shared that one of his favourite gestures would be pouring a glass of water for the actress before bed time and also making sure that she is covered up with her blanket when she is sleeping. The 42 year-old actor was praised for being a “model-husband” by fans who felt that Yang Mi was “a very lucky woman.

The actress also took a three-day break during the Chinese New Year weekend to spend time with Hawick and their daughter, nicknamed ‘Xiao Nuo Mi’ although she had been busy with the filming of the upcoming drama, Tan Pan Guan (loosely translated as The Negotiator).

According to the actor’s father, Danny Lau, the family of three also video call each other every day despite their conflicting schedules.

Has Lorde revealed her album release date?

Lorde is believed to be releasing her new album in March following the release of a cryptic television advert.

The 20-year-old singer/songwriter appeared in a TV commercial which aired in her native New Zealand which showed her sitting in the back of a car eating and sipping on a soft drink.

The ad wrapped with the messages "2.3.17 NYC" and "3.3.17 NZ" which has led to fans speculating online that these will be the dates that Lorde's second LP will drop, with them being different due to the time difference Down Under.

Since the advert was broadcast, Lorde's Twitter bio has been changed to read "I hope the exit is joyful, and i hope never to return. (sic)"

Lorde - whose real name is Ella Yelich-O'Connor - previously revealed last November that she was busy working on her new LP, the follow-up to her acclaimed 2013 debut 'Pure Heroine'.

The 'Royals' hitmaker also teased that her new collection of tracks will reflect where her life is now, compared to her first album which dealt with her "teenage glory".

She said: "I'm not a kid any more ... and writing 'Pure Heroine' was my way of enshrining our teenage glory, putting it up in lights forever so that part of me never dies, and this record - well, this one is about what comes next."

Matt LeBlanc to retire in his 50s

Matt LeBlanc plans on retiring in his 50s.

The 'Friends' legend turns 50 on July 25 and is starting to "take stock" of his life and wants to achieve everything he had ever planned to in his professional life in the near future.

The dark-haired hunk has reportedly decided to call time on his career in acting and television so he can have a more "personal life" and spend more time with his 13-year-old daughter Marina, whom he has with his former model ex-wife Melissa McKnight.

According to the Daily Star newspaper, Matt said on set of his motoring show 'Top Gear': "I want to retire in my early fifties.

"I want everything set up. Otherwise you look and go '50! Whooo, where did that go?'

"I'm beginning to take stock. I want retirement accomplished."

The 'Episodes' star previously spoke of how much he enjoys hanging out with his daughter and cherishes the time because he knows she won't always want to be with him.

He said: "I love it when I'm with my daughter. We make bacon and eggs and sit and talk over how she slept, what she dreamed about, what we should do that day.

"I'm clinging on to those moments because I'm not Rihanna so she won't want to hang out for much longer.

"Is she a Rihanna fan? Oh my God, I know every word to every song. Please don't stop the music ..."

Matt previously said Marina refuses to watch 'Friends' because he was in it.

The 49-year-old actor shot to fame playing Joey Tribbiani in the sitcom, and though the teenager's friends have been watching reruns of the series, she has no interest in tuning in because she doesn't want to "overdose" on seeing her dad.

He said: "I don't think she thinks I'm too cool.

"I think her friends at school are watching 'Friends' now, that's about the age they get into it, but she, she can't be bothered. She just couldn't care less.

She's seen it, but it's her dad.

"She sees me enough...she's like, 'Overdose on my dad, I don't want that.'"

The 44-year-old actor has "never" enjoyed a fast food feast from the American restaurant chain, but after receiving excellent service when he treated his partner Lauren Hashian and 15-year-old daughter Simone - who he has with his former partner Dany Garcia - to a burger and milkshake, he promised to return to enjoy a "cheat meal" in his tuxedo following the star studded event on Sunday (26.02.17).

"Seriously, the most excited and suuuuuper nice fans ever. Thanks Victor (manager pictured here) and staff for being so cool.

They look confused and start nervously laughing.. I just stare and make the whole thing uncomfortable.. then I break out in laughter.. then they break out in laughter.. then I start singing.. then they start singing with me.. then I stop and say, "no seriously, pay up". Everyone wins. #Moana #YoureWelcome #DigitalHD TODAY! (sic)."

Anais Gallagher gives Brooklyn Beckham dating advice

Anais Gallagher gives Brooklyn Beckham dating advice.

Although the pair have been romantically linked in the past, Anais, 17, - whose parents are Oasis rocker Noel Gallagher and Meg Matthews - insists they have a sibling-type relationship and she helps him out with girls.

Speaking about Brooklyn and Rocco Ritchie, she told ES Magazine: "I'm not dating either of them, no. Me and Brooklyn, people like to pick up on because we're seen out together quite a lot. And because we're such good friends, they like to capture photos where we're hugging. No - we're like brother and sister. We have a really good relationship. I like to help him out with girls."

Anais recently called supermodel Kate Moss her "second mum" and revealed the star sneaks her out of the house for nights out.

She said: "She's hilarious one of the funniest people I know. She is the most loving, motherly figure. She texts me at least once a week. It's a good relationship because she's not my mum. She sneaks me out so we can go out together, and she makes really good peanut butter on toast.'

And model Anais admitted it has been difficult growing up in the public eye but she admires her father for not caring what people think.

She said: "It's very hard trying to find your own way, dealing with people saying you're only doing it because of your parents. I've had stuff written about me since the moment I was born. When I was younger, I'd never done anything to deserve the amount of attention that I got. It's not like I was a singer or had any significant talent. It was just because I was the child of my dad. So I have to respect that, in a way.

"He doesn't give a f**k about what anybody thinks of him or says of him, and will always say what's on his mind and I admire him so much for that."

The full interview appears in this week's issue of ES Magazine, out Thursday 23rd February 2017.

Amber Rose and Wiz Khalifa throw birthday party for son

Amber Rose and Wiz Khalifa threw a superhero-themed birthday party for their son Sebastian.

The friendly exes celebrated their son's fourth birthday with a party fit for a superhero over the weekend.

Speaking to the guests who had come to celebrate - including Lamar Odom and Blac Chyna - Amber said: "We love Sebastian. He's our beautiful child. He's super awesome. Happy birthday pumpkin."

Meanwhile, the 30-year-old model previously admitted she has "a million different fears" as a mother.

She explained: "As a mom, you have a million different fears. You don't sleep at night. You think about all the worst things that could possibly happen to your baby, and it really sucks. I literally almost shed a tear every single time when he hugs me really tight and he says, 'Oh, Mommy, I love you so much.' I want him to do any and every thing that makes him smile and be happy forever.

"I read to Sebastian every single day when he was in my arms, and now he can articulate a sentence like no other, and he's three-years-old. He knows every big word. And every time your baby says something like, 'Oh, this is relaxing,' you be like a thesaurus and you give [them] a different way to say it every single time so they learn.

"I gave him a piece of strawberry gum, and he was so dramatic when I gave it to him because he said, 'Oooh, Mommy, this gum feels so therapeutic.' And I just laughed on the floor until I cried."

And Amber also doesn't want any mothers-to-be to be too worried about becoming a mother as it's easy to just "figure things out along the way".

She told PEOPLE magazine: "I read every single book, when I was pregnant, about being a mom and being pregnant and doing the right thing, and then I had my baby and I was just like, 'What the hell do I do now?' Your maternal instinct comes in, and you figure it out along the way. And that's the fun part about it."

Mariah Carey wants kids to have good work ethic

Mariah Carey wants to "instill a work ethic" in her children.

The 'I Don't' hitmaker - who has five-year-old twins Moroccan and Monroe with her ex-husband Nick Cannon - has been giving her children some small chores to teach them the importance of helping out.

She said: "They work for me now. I had to give them jobs. I'm trying to instill a work ethic. I don't want them to think since they're my kids and that they can just get whatever they want; do whatever they want.

"I started saying, 'OK look, guys, here's what we're going to do, you're going to help out, maybe clean a couple of things.' I don't expect it to be done properly."

And the 46-year-old singer - who is dating dancer and choreographer Bryan Tanaka - loves being able to take her kids with her when she travels the world and always finds an activity in the city they're visiting that the kids will enjoy.

She added: "For five-year-old kids, they've travelled more than most people in their lives, and they really love it. Usually we do something like go to a children's museum."

And Mariah also opened up about the close relationship she has with her former spouse Nick.

She told Entertainment Tonight: "I support him in what hes going to do. He's the father of my kids. I don't know whats going on. I just you know he's always going to be their daddy so that is what it is."

Meanwhile, Mariah recently confirmed she is dating Bryan but admits she wants to keep her new relationship private.

She said: "I'm just going to be like 'I really don't talk about my personal life.' Because that's what I used to do and it really worked for a minute, back, a while ago.

"I just don't feel comfortable talking about my personal life. Me and my boyfriend don't want to do that."

An Awe-inspiring Masterpiece – “New Breath – 新的呼吸”

Talented Singaporean singer/songwriter, Lya Ng’s debut album “New Breath – 新的呼吸”, produced by multi-talented Iranian music producer Hangi Tavakoli, is officially released on 20 February 2017.  The album comprises 8 songs with different and interesting styles that will take your breath away.  The 26 years old singer who was scouted by Singaporean record label, Flipside Productions & Marketing (Flipside) in late 2015, has since released 4 single tracks and 3 music videos in 2016 with Flipside’s Iranian music producer, Hangi Tavakoli.

"New Breath – 新的呼吸” is a result of Lya’s contemporary art background and Hangi’s well established hip hop production.  The producer even stepped in as rapper to do a verse of rap in Persian language in one of the songs, named “Little Puppy – 小犬犬”.

Noticeable fact about this album is Lya’s unique voice and style, which is unusual in the typical Chinese pop music industry. In addition, her strong lyrics about her very own personal life experiences added a twist to the album.  What makes this album a new breath is also the injection of Middle Eastern flavoured electro-pop arrangements that yet features the uniqueness of traditional Persian music feel.

Hangi, the producer of the album who has more than 450 released songs with more than 80 different international artistes in his resume, has found the process of writing songs for “New Breath – 新的呼吸” a very different experience.  He explained, “Lya and I spent 3 months just sitting in the studio and playing old Persian and Chinese songs for each other in order to have a better understanding of each other’s taste.  Thereafter, without much discussion, I was on my instruments doing the arrangement whilst Lya was writing the lyrics.  The album was written in one month!”

The two artistes’ talent and passion of making this album has created an awe-inspiring masterpiece.

Two years after she got married on Christmas Eve, Ariel Lin is finally going to be a mother… in reel life.

The actress sparked pregnancy rumours when she posted numerous baby pictures and shared her thoughts about parenting in a recent post on Weibo.

In the post, Ariel explained that she has been reading up on early childhood education and was inspired to write about it after tuning in to a radio programme.

The 34-year-old also clarified that she is currently preparing for a new project and is not pregnant, as most people would have guessed. “Because it’s (parenting) related to my next show,” she said.

Ariel’s prep work for her new role will come in handy when she gets pregnant – next year, hopefully, if her plans to have a baby in the Year of the Dog materialises.

Although Ariel and her husband, Charles Lin, live in separate countries (Charles works in America while Ariel works in Taiwan), the actress shared that they make it a point to spend 10 to 14 days with each other every month. They recently celebrated their second wedding anniversary in America.

When asked what he did when he got drunk, Yoga said bashfully, "I become cuter." He also said that he was tight-lipped and would not gossip about his friends when they were drunk. He joked, "Also, it’s not the place to talk about it here."

Tom Holland burns Avengers script

Tom Holland burned his 'Avengers: Infinity War' script to keep details of the movie from being leaked.

The 20-year-old actor took to Instagram to share a video of himself chucking the script in the fire after he admitted he forgot to hand it into producers before he left set.

In the video, he shared: ""Rule number one ... hand in your script ... Marvel like to keep everything a secret. So, to all the producers who are probably freaking out because I forgot to hand in my script, here is evidence that I am destroying it."

Meanwhile, Tom - who plays Spider-Man in the hotly anticipated movie - previously revealed how he went undercover at a school to prepare for his role in 'Spider-Man: Homecoming'.

He confessed: "No one knew who I was or what I was doing. I had a fake name and a fake accent.

"[When I revealed who I was] no one believed me. It makes me think that if Peter Parker went up in his school and was like, 'I'm Spider-Man,' everyone would be like, 'Nah, dude, no you're not.'"

And Tom was understandably thrilled when he found out he had been cast as Spider-Man and revealed he found out he had got the job through a post on Instagram.

He said: "I was in my bed scrolling through Instagram. It had been about a month since my audition. And Marvel just posted a photo saying go to our website and find out who the next Spider-Man is. I went on the Marvel website on my computer and there it was: The new Spider-Man is Tom Holland. I went ballistic, like absolutely nuts."

Meanwhile, the 'Captain America: Civil War' actor has praised Marvel for giving him a chance to work on other films at the same time .

He added: "I do know I have three Spider-Man movies and three solo movies contracted. But if you have another movie, Marvel is so good at working around it.

They're very respectful of your life, really. They understand that you have to work on other movies, and they try and fix it up so you can work around each other."

He said it was easy for miscommunication to happen between people, and one must never assume that the other person shares their same desires.

Yao Yao said she studied a lot to prepare for the filming. She realised that sexual harassment often happens around us and humanity could be ugly. When asked if she has ever been sexually harassed, she joked that she has "by the media" because their headlines were often horrible and troubled her.

Tom Chaplin admits he came close to death

Tom Chaplin was playing "Russian roulette" with his life at the height of his drink and drug problems.

The 37-year-old singer-songwriter - who is best known as the lead singer of the band Keane - saw his life spiral out of control in the mid-2000s due to his addictions and Tom admitted he came close to death after relapsing two years ago.

He shared: "Death was coming to say hello. I could easily have copped it. It's Russian roulette.

"When you're going on binges that last four or five days, with no sleep and crazy amounts of drugs - and you're also on your own.

"I pushed my family right to the edge, to the point where they were kind of saying their goodbyes."

Tom explained that cocaine proved to be his downfall after he'd spent many years enjoying the party lifestyle.

He told The Sun newspaper: "There were periods of my life during the Keane days, two or three years, where I didn't touch coke but I was doing other things.

"I was doing party drugs and was the life and soul.

"But as soon as I went back to coke - particularly that drug - it seemed to have a very isolating, self-destructive hold on me."

In October, Tom said he had overcome his drug abuse problem and was "prepared" for the dangers of the music business after launching his solo album 'The Wave'.

He previously said: "Music is fraught with danger and I have thought about that very deeply. I am savvy enough to realise you are never out of the woods. But this time I feel prepared."

Tom also claimed that his reliance on drugs came from trying to suppress what he called a "real darkness" in his soul.

He explained: "The environment is intoxicating: the money, the adoration, the sense of people around you singing your praises all the time.

"One the one hand, [my voice] is a beautiful instrument and I am in sole charge of it. But it seems to suggest a kind of pure and angelic quality in me as a person.

"And there is a real darkness in my soul. Crushing that part of myself, it came out in peculiar ways: panic attacks, anxiety and depression. It ended in addiction."

Nick Cannon: I put my 'kids first'

Nick Cannon always strives to put his "kids first."

The 36-year-old rapper has five-year-old twins Moroccan and Monroe with his ex-wife Mariah Carey, and has said the key to maintaining a healthy co-parenting relationship is to "remove your ego" and do what's best for their children.

He said during an appearance on Amazon's live chat show 'Style Code Live' on Thursday (16.02.17): "It's all about love.

"You put the kids first. But then when you understand that you have unconditional love for these human beings and you want the best existence for them, then you put whatever differences you may have had aside.

"A lot of times, when you think about breakups in relationships, it's usually over ego. And if you can remove your ego from that, and make it about your loved ones, that's what it's all about."

Meanwhile, the former 'America's Got Talent' judge said he won't let his status as a celebrity influence his children's career paths, as he wants to make sure they still put in the "hard work" required to accomplish their dreams.

He said: "If they want to be entertainers, God bless 'em. It's gonna be easy for them to be entertainers. I think as a parent, you want to encourage trying and effort, and putting hard work to the test to show something you can actually accomplish.

"So if it is entertainment, I'm gonna put them through it. I'm gonna make sure, one, school gotta be right. If you want to be a singer, sing in the choir at school. If you want to be an actor, act in a school play first. Go through that process that every kid has to go through."

But the star admits he doesn't want his children to follow in the footsteps of their parents.

He added: "I don't want my kids to be entertainers. But they have it. They're little hams - they see a microphone, they run for it."

Emily Song hopes that Dream Girls will reunite someday

Emily Song held a concert for her fans today.

When asked about the absence of her friend Tia Li, Emily said they had not seen each other for a while because Tia had a cold and wanted to avoid passing on it to her.

Emily had been busy with her work and plans for establishing her own brand, so she had to postpone her baby-making plans to the later half of the year, although she needed to be careful because her hyperthyroidism might make it difficult for her to get pregnant. She felt great pressure because, "If I don’t get pregnant this year, I’d be one year older next year."

No special Valentine's Day for Pakho Chau and his wife

While attending a promotional event, Pakho Chau rode an exercise bike but lost the "race" to his opponent. He explained that he was tired because he had just returned from filming in England.

When asked if he came back specially for Valentine’s Day, he denied it with a smile, saying that he did not give his wife any presents and left for work again soon after seeing her. "Because it is our 11th Valentine’s Day together, we had an agreement not to have any special celebrations." However, he said that he used to write songs and sang to her, saying, "But sometimes when I'm just singing to myself, she’d think I am singing to her."

Pam Ferris 'passed out' on set of Harry Potter due to latex costume

Pam Ferris has revealed her latex costume in 'Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban' caused her to pass out.

The British actress has had to dress up as a variety of characters for her varied film roles such as terrifying headmistress Miss Trunchbull in 'Matilda' but it was the skin-tight outfit she had to don to play Aunt Marge in the third instalment of the wizarding franchise when the character was blown up like a balloon in the 2004 film which was the most uncomfortable.

In an interview with the Metro newspaper, Ferris, 68, has revealed she struggled to breathe when shooting those scenes.

She said: "I had several suits of latex which they put compressed air between to expand me. It was absolute torture. And I passed out. It had never been done before, you see.

"We found that if we fired the air in, it stopped my lungs expanding so I couldn't breathe, which is why I passed out. So we had to have a hard carapace underneath. I was so big I couldn't get through doorways so I had to change in a tent."

And being kept separately from the cast is something that she had to do on the set of 1996's 'Matilda' - based on Roald Dahl's novel of the same name - which starred Danny DeVito, who also directed.

She explained: "Danny tried to keep me away from the little ones in the cast because he wanted their real reactions, so they were all a bit wary of me. But their curiosity overcame them. I'd be there looking terrifying and I'd feel a little hand slip in mine. We became close friends."

Prince's estate to release 'unreleased gems' from back catalogue

Warner Bros. Records is set to release a number of "unreleased gems" from Prince's back catalogue.

The 'Little Red Corvette' hitmaker tragically passed away last year from an accidental overdose of fentanyl at the age of 57, and Warner Bros. Records has now announced it will be opening the Paisley Park vaults to bring fans two albums worth of previously unheard tracks to keep the memory of the late singer alive.

Alongside the new songs, the Paisley Park estate will also release a re-mastered version of the star's 1984 smash hit record 'Purple Rain', as well as having plans to unveil two new concert films.

In a statement posted to Pitchfork, the record company said: "When we make any of Prince's music available to fans - from the hits to unreleased gems - we are committed to upholding Prince's high creative standards and we know fans will be thrilled when they hear these albums and see these films."

All of the new material - as well as the re-mastered album - will be made available on June 9.

The announcement comes as the star's full catalogue was made available on all streaming services including Spotfiy, Apple Music, and Google Play on Sunday (12.02.17) in celebration of the 2017 Grammy Awards.

Previously, Prince's music was pulled from all services except Tidal in 2015, but Paisley Park estate sued Jay Z's Roc Nation - who own the service - after claiming it didn't have exclusive rights to stream Prince's discography.

A statement from Cameron Strang, chairman & CEO of Warner Bros. Records, read: "Prince recorded his most influential and popular music during his time with Warner Bros. and we are deeply aware of our responsibility to safeguard and nurture his incredible legacy.

"Warner Bros. is thrilled to be able to bring Prince's music to his millions of fans around the world via streaming services, fittingly on music's biggest night.

"We'd like to thank Prince's estate, Universal Music Publishing, the Grammy Awards and all of the streaming services for their great collaboration in making this landmark event possible."

Jay Chou visits Hannah Quinlivan's family

Jay Chou and Hannah Quinlivan were spotted at the airport in Gold Coast, Australia on February 8. The couple is believed to have headed down under to visit Hannah's family members who live there. They were greeted by her grandfather at the airport.

Photos of Jay emerged online after eagle-eyed fans spotted the singer at the airport, with many fans amused at the rare sight of the multi-hyphenate pushing his own luggage cart upon arrival. The 38-year-old usually has an entourage with him when he travels for work, and his luggage is often handled by his assistants.

Hannah is reported to have revealed her plans to visit her family in Australia prior to making the trip, and the pair is believed to be spending Valentine's Day there.

She was previously rumoured to be pregnant with her second child, but has not denied nor confirmed the rumours.

Jay and Hannah tied the knot in January 2015 and welcomed baby Hathaway in July of the same year.

Shawn Yue caught on a date with rumoured girlfriend

Hong Kong actor Shawn Yue was photographed getting cosy in his car with his rumoured girlfriend, model-turned-actress Sarah Wang (also known as Sha La or Wang Tang Yun).

The pair was said to be making their way home after a seafood dinner yesterday (Feb 9) and Sarah was leaning up for a hug when the photo was snapped, catching them off guard. Upset, the actor told the paparazzi to leave immediately and blocked his date’s face from the camera.

The pair was also spotted leaving a massage parlour earlier that day after a massage session. Shawn even impressed his date when he showed off his gentlemanly ways by opening the car door for her before walking to the driver’s seat.

The coupled was first rumoured to be dating when they were caught posing intimately in a group picture. After several rounds of denial, the 35-year-old actor implicitly admitted to the relationship by posting a photo with the caption, “Invincible. The future is bright”.

Their relationship is not well-received by netizens as they mostly feel that Shawn should date his We Are In Love co-star, Chinese actress Zhou Dongyu, instead. Hurt by the naysayers, the actor said, “What’s the point of putting things so harshly? Your comments have hurt me and I really don’t wish to start 2017 this way”.

Ruby Lin meets up with Vivian Hsu, Alec Su

It has been less than a month since Ruby Lin popped and the actress is still doing her confinement. Since she’s stuck at home and was unable to make any house visits, her celebrity pals, Vivian Hsu and Alec Su, took the opportunity to visit her instead.

Vivian posted a photo of the trio posing for a selfie on her Facebook on Wednesday (Feb 8) to commemorate their meet-up and fans were shocked by Vivian and Ruby’s no makeup look and flawless complexion.

Apparently the two celebrity mothers were too busy trading tips and sharing stories about motherhood that they left Alec out of their conversations. “A man who is willing to listen to us go on and on about motherhood is a rare find!” she later joked, adding that the actor was only invited because they wanted him to “give out red packets to the kids.”

41-year-old Ruby welcomed her first child, a daughter, last month (Jan 6) after a flash marriage with fellow Taiwanese actor Wallace Huo last July. She has adapted well to motherhood and shared previously that she is planning to work on baby number two soon.

Katy Perry launches 'purposeful pop era' with new single

Katy Perry has launched her "purposeful pop era" with the release of her new single 'Chained to the Rhythm'.

The 32-year-old singer unveiled her track on Friday (10.02.17) - the first song from her upcoming new album coming on Capitol Records/Virgin EMI - which she recorded with Max Martin, Sia Furler, Ali Payami and Skip Marley.

Katy tackles society's obsession with social media and the current political climate in America in the song.

In what seems to be a reference to social media, she can be heard singing: "Are we crazy / Living our lives through a lens.

Trapped in our white picket fence / Like ornaments / So comfortable, we're living in a bubble, bubble / So comfortable, we cannot see the trouble, trouble / Aren't you lonely / Up there in utopia / Where nothing will ever be enough / Happily numb / So comfortable, we're living in a bubble, bubble / So comfortable, we cannot see the trouble, trouble."

Then seemingly airing her anger over the election of Donald Trump as President last year, Katy - who campaigned for Democrat candidate Hilary Clinton to get to the White House - later on sings: "It is my desire / Break down the walls to connect, inspire / Up in your high place, liars / Time is ticking for the empire / The truth they feed is feeble / As so many times before / They greed over the people / They stumbling and fumbling / And we about to riot / They woke up, they woke up the lions."

Katy took to Twitter to her 95.7 million followers that the track is available now to stream and download and also reveal that her new LP is going to deal with more heavyweight subjects than love and partying.

She tweeted: "We gonna call this era Purposeful Pop ... question everything ... Evolution right on track (sic)"

Katy - who is in a relationship with Orlando Bloom - will perform 'Chained to the Rhythm' for the first time at the 59th Grammy Awards that take place on Sunday night (12.02.17).

Jamie Dornan's 'favourite crisp' are beef Hula Hoops

Jamie Dornan's "favourite crisp" are beef flavour Hula Hoops.

The 34-year-old actor loves nothing more than to chomp down on the meat flavoured snack, and the 'Fifty Shades of Grey' star - who plays the lead role of Christian Grey alongside Dakota Johnson in the erotic movie - has admitted although he trained hard to get his body into great shape for 'Fifty Shades Darker' he was adamant he would not give up the potato treats.

Speaking on BBC Radio One's Breakfast Show on Friday (10.02.17), the dark haired hunk said: "I eat whatever I want but I'll just train a little bit harder, is my thing. But my biggest vice - not actually my biggest vice - but my biggest vice in terms of food is crisps. Beef Hula Hoops."

And the Northern Ireland-born star has admitted he still puts every ringed crisp on each finger and eats them one by one, a trick he has passed down to his daughters Dulcie, three, and 12-month-old Phoebe.

When asked about what method he uses to enjoy the feast, he said: "I still do that now [eat each Hula Hoop off every finger]. And now I've got kids so I pass that one. And they think it's hilarious."

And Jamie's preferred treat has been confirmed on the broadcasting network's Twitter account.

They wrote: "Just in case you were wondering... beef flavour Hula Hoops are Jamie Dornan's favourite crisp. You're welcome. (sic)."

Jamie has revealed he didn't have time to get into shape for the first movie adaptation of E.L. James' novels in 2015, but has worked out harder for the sequel, although he finds gruelling exercise regimes "boring".

He explained: "I had to work a wee bit harder, but I don't enjoy it, I find that kind of stuff quite boring to be honest with you.

"The thing was with this one, the first one I only got cast five weeks before filming so I didn't really have time, and this time I had the benefit of time on my side to train a bit. But I'm not great about that. I'll train but I won't cut out the carbs, I can't do that. "
