It was an unforgettable 41st birthday for Charmaine Sheh
(佘詩曼), who announced on her social media that she has officially opened
up her own agency, the Charmaine Sheh Workshop Limited. “The biggest
present to self in 2016!” she said.
On May 28, Charmaine’s 41st birthday, the Line Walker
<使徒行者> star went on Facebook to announce that she has established
her own independent studio and agency. The announcement was made in the
form of a short video, which explained her reasons for the project.
“The world in my eyes is actually very simple,” said Charmaine. “I like freedom. I want to do what I want to do. This moment is a new beginning, a beginning that I really look forward to starting.”
In the video, which is made with help of her manager Joanne Chan (陳早茵), Charmaine added, “I want to be able to choose. It sounds easy, but it’s not. I want to control my life and choose the jobs I like. I want to be happy every day. This studio is my biggest present to myself.”
The studio wasn’t the only surprising present. The actress, who has been shooting the TVB drama Casino Heroes <賭城群英會>, was also surprised by her close friends, who showed up unannounced at her residence all in pink.
“Thank you for the surprise! I’m so happy! I love you guys so much!” said Charmaine on Weibo.
