Chinese singer Faye Wong was spotted back in Hong Kong last month and
it was said that she paid a discreet visit to an eye clinic in Mong
Kok, which left fans concerned, wondering if their diva was suffering
from an eye disease.
The
47-year-old was seen making the trip to the clinic on October 26 at
about 6 pm in the evening in her seven-seater car. She was dressed
discreetly in a dark grey T-shirt and a cap, accompanied by her personal
assistant. She emerged from the clinic after an hour, with a gauze
covering her right eye. Faye also attempted to cover her eye when people
came close to her.
The clinic is said to specialise in treating
cataracts, the retina and maculopathy, and it has been visited by a
number of celebrities, and ex-boyfriend of Hong Kong actress Kate Tsui,
Xie Wei Ye, is a doctor in this clinic.
In related news, Faye’s
19-year-old daughter, singer Leah Dou, has recently been invited to be
the very first Chinese guest performer at Bastille’s concert in England.
Leah sang six songs during her performance and she admitted, “I was a
little nervous before I went on stage; because it’s my first time
performing overseas, the audience hasn’t heard my music [before], but I
saw them moving along and dancing to my music, I felt very happy”.
Leah
also expressed that performing for Bastille was a rare experience and
it was a good opportunity to allow people overseas to know her, and she
also loved the English music culture.
