She went to the doctor’s and found out that she was suffering from cervical spondylosis, where the vertebrae, discs and ligaments in the neck or cervical spine deteriorate. She went through acupuncture treatments and her condition has since improved.
The 40-year-old talked about her condition at a magazine event and shared, “I was very strong during the acupuncture session, but after my husband picked me up after work, I started crying nonstop when he consoled me.”
Before she was diagnosed with cervical spondylosis recently, Gigi also let on that she has suffered from cervical scoliosis, a condition where the bones of the spine twist on each other, for a long time and will feel discomfort at times. She continued that her 1-year-old daughter, Sofia, has been a great source of comfort for her when she pats her shoulders, which gives her the impression that she is trying to massage them.
