NU’EST’s Baekho took to his personal Instagram account in the early hours of the morning today (Apr 9) to call for blood donations for his father.
In his post, he wrote, “Hello, this is Baekho. I’m sorry that I’m posting bad news. This morning, my father had a nosebleed that wouldn’t stop so we went to the hospital and it was confirmed that he has acute myeloid leukemia. Therefore, we’re in need of blood donor cards. I feel sorry to ask like this but please send your blood donor cards (to us) if you can.”
He then included the address for those keen to help and apologised once again for the bad news. The group’s official Facebook account has since reposted the request and once again called for fans to send in their blood donor cards.
Acute myeloid leukemia generally starts in the bone marrow and is a sort of blood cancer in which the bone marrow cells do not mature normally.
NU’EST last released I’m Bad in February, in which Baekho did not participate in the title track as he was still recovering from surgery to remove vocal cord polyps.
