Diana's 'rock' Paul Burrell reveals he's marrying his boyfriend - nine months after divorcing wife

Hong Kong singer-actor Dicky Cheung is set to make his return to TVB dramas after 20 years, with The Handsome Marshal.

The 52-year-old, who has been focusing on his career in China, was approached by TVB last year to headline The Handsome Marshal¸ which will commemorate the television company’s 50th anniversary.

Though the actor stated that the reason for his return was because of his fans, many have speculated that TVB had asked him back as they’ve lost a large amount of actors in recent years, causing a drain in talent. Some have also speculated that it was because Dicky “couldn’t make a living in China” too.

Recently, reports have alleged that Dicky requested for a number of special arrangements even before signing the contract.

Apart from requesting that filming does not exceed 12 hours per day for him, Dicky also reportedly requested for the right to ad-lib and change their scripts.

When asked to comment on the matter, Dicky would not reveal the exact terms of his contract, but acknowledged that he has enough time to rest.

Regarding the clause about the right to amend the scripts, Dicky admitted that he has never tried memorising his scripts by the book. He also revealed that he’d “occasionally ad-lib” if inspiration hits him during filming.
