Fans of Kim Soo Hyun are set to be able to catch the actor in action both on the small and big screens this year. He has confirmed that he will star in action-thriller flick Real in addition to making his drama comeback in Producers.
Kim Soo Hyun’s starring roles in his last drama and movie – My Love from the Star and Secretly, Greatly respectively, did extremely well in both ratings and the box office. The expectations for his upcoming projects have skyrocketed and fans are anticipating to catch the 27-year-old’s finished works.
His character in Real, Jang Tae Young, is one that is ruthlessly blinded by success and sets out to take over a city at any cost. His agency confirmed the casting with a statement that he accepted the role after careful consideration. This will be a character description that he has yet to try, and the intensity of the role is expected to contrast sharply with that of his current project, Producers.
Producers has started filming and will begin airing in May on KBS while Real is slated to firm up the rest of its cast and begin filming in October.
Real is slated for a release in the second half of 2016.
