Taeyang’s ankle injury will not affect BIGBANG comeback

BIGBANG’s comeback is well on its way with pictures of the quintet jetting off to the US surfacing last week. When departing from Korea’s Incheon Airport, the members hid their hairstyles under beanies and caps, raising fans’ anticipation levels to see their new looks for their upcoming comeback.

Photos of BIGBANG in Los Angeles, however, got fans concerned when Taeyang was spotted in a wheelchair. The group’s label, YG Entertainment, confirmed that a minor ankle injury was sustained after the 26-year-old discovered pain in his ankle during practice. He is currently receiving physiotherapy to aid in his recovery.

Stressing that his injury will not affect BIGBANG’s comeback, YG further shared that Taeyang’s condition is being closely monitored and will not affect their upcoming concert tour and comeback.

YG previously confirmed BIGBANG to be their next artiste to make their return through a series of mysterious teasers. Further details on what will happen on May 1, the next date on their timeline, have yet to be released but netizens have been speculating that their new song will likely be unveiled on that day.

BIGBANG is slated to kick off its latest world tour in Seoul on April 25 and 26.
