Moon Geun Young and Park Seo Joon have been offered leading roles in upcoming drama Chaebol’s Daughter.
The story revolves around Jang Yoon Ha, a woman who hides the fact that she’s a chaebol’s (large conglomerate family) daughter and works part-time jobs at a food market. She is described as someone who wants to know for sure that she is loved for who she is and not for her money.
The leading male character is characterised as an intelligent and handsome white-collared worker at a chaebol company. He looks at the world sans rose-tinted glasses due to his childhood memories of seeing his parents being treated badly due to their family’s lack of wealth. He is also described as someone who judges situations and people critically and only pursues ventures that are advantageous to him and abandons those that are not.
Director Choi Young Hoon and writer Ha Myung Hee are set to helm this production, with the pair’s last collaboration on series One Warm Word, in which Park Seo Joon played a supporting role.
While neither has made their final decisions, their respective agencies have confirmed that they have received the offers. Moon Geun Young last filmed Goddess of Fire in 2013, while Park Seo Joon recently concluded his role on hit drama Kill Me, Heal Me.
Chaebol’s Daughter is set to air on SBS after the conclusion of Heard It Through the Grapevine.
