The rumours that Singaporean singer-actor Leon Jay Williams is going to be a father
are confirmed to be true. After an eight-year relationship with his
girlfriend, Joyce, he finally proposed at their new apartment on
Valentine’s Day this year.
The lovebirds then registered their
marriage in Singapore on April 16, Joyce’s birthday, and went on a
honeymoon trip in May to Italy. It was there that Joyce got pregnant,
but had to keep it a secret for the first three months due to Chinese
traditions.
Leon said, “We were also looking for suitable churches and restaurants there to hold our wedding.”
The
38-year-old revealed that the couple have booked air tickets and will
return to Italy for a wedding photoshoot, which his mother will also
attend.
The two rarely see each other, as Leon has been focusing
on developing his acting career in China in recent years and Joyce is
residing in Taiwan. After the wedding, Joyce has been travelling to
Singapore to keep him company while he works hard for their baby.
