Taiwanese singer-actress Rene Liu is finally pregnant after her three-year marriage with Chinese businessman Zhong Shi.
The
45-year-old announced the good news yesterday on Facebook: “I thank the
Heavens and all who have wished me well. My husband and I are learning
to enter into our next phase of life and to welcome the newest addition
to our family. I’m nervously looking forward [to it] but overwhelmed by
joy.”
Rene also announced through her management that she “had to stick to Chinese traditions” and was apologetic to the media for denying previous pregnancy rumours. She was previously spotted wearing flats with a slight baby bump but had refuted all talks.
Her
friends from showbiz such as Malaysian singer Fish Leong, and netizens
too, congratulated her. However, Rene’s manager shared the singer has no
plans to reveal exactly how long she has been pregnant for as well as
the baby’s gender, and will do so officially at a later date.
Rene is suspected to be in her third month of pregnancy now.
