Preparations for the second season of Hong Kong actor Nicholas Tse’s cooking programme Chef Nic are underway, reported Chinese media. According to recent reports, there are plans for Nicholas’ girlfriend Faye Wong and her good friend Vicki Zhao to appear in the finale episode of the show.
In the first season of Chef Nic, Nicholas invited a total of 17 celebrity friends, who did not accept any appearance fees, on the programme. The sophomore run is expected to follow the same format, but with a new set of guests. Filming will also take place in different cities this time around.
Due to its popularity, Jiangsu TV allegedly reaped profits worth RMB40 million (approximately S$8.64 million) from the show. For Chef Nic 2, Nicholas will reportedly earn 15 percent of the total ad revenue, if the programme manages to achieve its target ratings.
As it would most likely be a great boost to the ratings, sources revealed that Faye is not adverse to the idea of an onscreen reunion with her beau.
