The woman in her 20s who previously accused JYJ′s Yu Chun of sexual assault has withdrawn her claim.
On June 15, the Seoul police department stated, "Ms. A has taken back
the claim that she was sexually assaulted and and states that the sexual
intercourse was not forced. She has withdrawn her claim."Ms. A
previously revealed that on June 4, Yu Chun sexually assaulted her in
the bathroom of a bar in Seoul. She submitted a claim on June 13.
At the time, Yu Chun′s agency C-JeS Entertainment stated, "We give our
stance regarding the current reports about the accusation against Yu
Chun. The opposite party′s claim is just a one-sided claim based on
falsities, and this will be revealed as much through a following police
investigation."
They continued, "We will not make a compromise with a malicious
blackmail that was done to guarantee the tarnishing of a famous person′s
image. We promise that Yu Chun will faithfully cooperate with the
investigation from hereon in order to reveal the truth. Additionally,
we have yet to learn the truth of this accusation officially from the
police′s side. Also, we ask that you refrain from brash speculations or
reports with unconfirmed facts until the investigation is complete
because the reports of the accusation themselves are causing severe
defamation on Yoochun."
Although Ms. A has withdrawn her sexual assault claim, this is no small
matter. Police will carefully determine whether or not to continue
investigating the accuser.
However, there is no doubt that Yu Chun′s reputation has been hugely
damaged during the process. The reputation of Yu Chun, who has been
loved by fans as an artist and an actor, has been negatively affected by
these sexual assault claims.
