Nancy Wu Shows Off Amazing Stamina in “Planet Meow”

Nancy Wu (胡定欣) has been working nonstop ever since winning TV Queen last year for the TVB ghost comedy Ghost of Relativity <鬼同你OT>. After filming the comedy drama House of Spirits <一屋老友記> with Bobby Au-yeung (歐陽震華), Nancy headed straight back into the fantasy world with another comedy with her Ghost of Relativity costars, Kristal Tin (田蕊妮) and Moses Chan (陳豪).

My Lover from the Planet Meow <來自喵喵星的妳> features the cast of Ghost of Relativity, and tells the story of an alien (Kristal) who lands on earth and befriends a policewoman known as Cat (Nancy). Principal photography for the series has been going nonstop since early February.

Nancy’s last few dramas prior to Planet Meow—including A Fist Within Four Walls <城寨英雄> and House of Spirits—were action-packed projects for Nancy. Planet Meow is no exception. The actress said, “I play a madam, so I have many crime-fighting scenes. I have long night schedules too.”

But Nancy, who regularly works out and has a love for jogging, was able to tread through the series just fine. Earlier, Nancy was spotted filming a chasing scene with actor Sunny Tai (戴耀明), who plays a thief. The sporty and versatile Nancy ran a few streets without showing much struggle. Sunny Tai, on the other hand, had to get the help of a stunt double. He said, “I had to jump down a few floors, and it looked pretty hard, so I had to get a stunt double to help.”
