According to Taiwanese media, said staff revealed Rainie had a sullen look on her face during the shoot and repeatedly requested for a larger changing room through her manager. The shoot was delayed as a result.
The 32-year-old’s manager jumped to her defence and clarified that their original makeup room had zero natural lighting.
They requested for a change in rooms so as to shorten the time spent on hair and makeup, said Rainie’s manager, who also emphasised that there were “no grudges held” and the atmosphere on set was a pleasant one.
Rainie also cleared the air about her lack of professionalism in a social media post yesterday, adding that she was “maligned” by said staff member.
She decided to speak up about it because things were getting out of hand. In her post, Rainie shared that she started hair and makeup the moment she arrived on set but the process took longer than usual, with multiple interruptions, as the room had zero natural lighting. Staff members even had to bring in additional lights to brighten the room.
She was eventually informed that they would go for a meal break while the production team made adjustments to the hair and makeup location.
“I only learned that my hair and makeup artiste and manager went to discuss about the rooms when I got to a different resting room,” she wrote. Rainie added this is not her first time working at this production set and said that “all their rooms are comfortable.”
She also compared it to the experience of getting her hair and makeup done on the roadside and said, “If I can do it by the roadside, why would I have complaints about this?”
Rainie also emphasised that she has a good working relationship with this brand and they have never ill-treated her.
She called out the staff who ratted on her and ended her post with a few heartfelt words: “This world is not complicated, it is humans that are complicated.”
