Ruby Lin releases pregnancy photoshoot pictures

Throughout Taiwanese actress Ruby Lin’s pregnancy, the fiercely private 41-year-old deliberately concealed her baby bump, as she “wanted to protect my unborn baby”.

Apart from candid snaps from the public who managed to spot the actress out and about during her pregnancy, the actress’s baby bump was never clearly photographed.

Even in pictures on either her own or her friends’ Facebook pages, Ruby made sure to hide her baby bump with a cleverly positioned cushion or prop. Last year, when Ruby was six months pregnant, she finally uploaded a picture of herself together with a white cat, showing off her baby bump.

But, the picture was eventually deleted, with netizens speculating that it was because she wanted to put an end to the malicious comments from netizens, who accused her of using her child to boast about her marriage to Taiwanese actor Wallace Huo.

Frustrated, the actress took it upon herself to reply the netizens personally, writing, “Be good, [and] stop making up your own news. I genuinely want to protect [the privacy] of the little [baby in my] stomach, which is why I deleted the photo.

There’s nothing more to it.” However, netizens and fans alike were in for a surprise last Saturday (April 15). As the actress’s baby girl, nicknamed “Little Dolphin” turned 100 days old on that day, Ruby uploaded a number of pictures from her pregnancy photoshoot, writing, “I kind of miss the feeling of you being inside [my stomach], [here’s something to] commemorate today.”

Soon after she posted the pictures, fans flocked to her post to leave comments praising her beauty, with some even urging her to “have another baby”. Ruby tied the knot with Wallace in Bali last August.

The couple remained fiercely private about their personal life, especially Ruby’s pregnancy, after the wedding. The birth of their daughter in January was only announced days after her delivery.
